Surprised this went without mention, but DeMerit scored the first goal in Watford's 4-3 win over Crystal Palace in their 4th rd FA tie last weekend.

A great reason to watch today!

A small aside, I bet they REALLY miss Bouazza and King at Watford...

Our boy came on as a sub for the whole 2nd half. Watford did not concede while he was out there, so he couldn't have sucked too bad.

The Hornets are in trouble and will be offloading in January. This will either mean that Jay will leave or that he'll get a starting place at Vicarage Road for the start up to South Africa. In either case, our CB worries for the national team have eased a bit.

Great news -- I was wondering if his eye issues would ever let him play again. When he's on his game, he is more than a quality central defender. When Watford was in the Prem a few years ago, I remember a 1-0 loss they had against Chelski where he damn near marked Drogba out of the game. Feel free to find that mojo again Jay.
