I'm not too worried about Jimmy going anywhere. All these publications about him and Roy not getting along are rubbish in my opinion. Why is Jimmy starting every match if that is the case? Wankers!

Yep, the stuff about Jimmy's contract was always blown out of proportion. The point was never that Roy didn't want to give him a new contract, it was always just that he thought last summer was too soon to do so.

    Diomansy on the comeback trail:

This could be our biggest aquisition in the January window. According to Sky Sports, Diomansy could be back for the Christmas schedule that includes matches against Boro, Tottenham, and the Poo in 8 days.

"It's going very well, I'm two or three months away from playing so I'm happy with the way the rehabilitation is going," he told the club's official website.

"I've started running, which is the most important stage, and I'm doing very well. I need to work on my fitness but I'm doing bike work and running - everything to get my fitness up.

"After the operation I was a little bit frustrated but now it's OK, in a few more months I'll be playing football."

I also found this clip in the link below from FC Copenhagen vs Randers match while trying to research former Fulham player Niclas Jensen for the Alumni thread. I find it interesting the celebration that the Randers goal scorer Bedi Buval does. Where have we seen that before?

If he is back by Christmas, I wouldn't expect more than 30 minutes total from him over the three matches.

Those are two pretty decent ideas of left midfielders. Pedersen has a great left foot and Lovenkrands is (if I'm thinking of the right guy) really fast and a wing/forward hybrid - sort of a more experienced Bouazza.

Not sure why Roy would be looking at signing defensive midfielders (though certainly it'd be great to have Davis back in the fold) when he never uses the ones he has. Surprised to see rumors about goalkeepers when three were signed this summer.

I'm not sure how credible the report about the Colombian striker playing at Westerlo can be given that A) it's Tribal Football, and B) it calls the guy "Juan Alfonso Ruiz" when his name is actually "Jaime Alfonso Ruiz".

I was trying to look up that Juan Alfonso Ruiz, but couldn't find anything. His name being Jaime would be a good reason for that. That said, I'll tack on a C) No way he qualifies for a work permit.

Why would any player WANT to sign for Fulham. For a chance to make the bench and play 10 minutes a game?

Is it really Woy's Boys that are relegated to the bench or worse?

    Lets have a look:

Originally advertised as potential prime time players
    Hangeland - 90 minute man
    AJ - Starter
    Zamora - Starter
    Gera - Starter
    Schwarzer - Starter
Stoor - Subs bench but is behind another of Roy's buys
    Andreason - Missing in Action

Originally advertised as being brough in for depth:
    Paintsil - Starter
    Kallio - Subs bench regular
    Nevland - subs bench
EJ - Exiled to the championship
Gray - Recently has made it to the bench but not a match
Etuhu - Has been injured so the jury is out
    Zuberbuhler - Subs bench regular
    Teymorian - Fringe player

    Ones for the future
    Smalling
    Stockdale

The players in italics are the only ones not get the playing time they might have expected to receive. That is 4 out of 16. Looks like Woy's Boys do fairly well for playing time to me.

I'd just like to remind everyone of a rule, which I have just recently broken. NEVER EVER BELIEVE ANYTHING TRIBAL FOOTBALL HAVE TO SAY. It was a rule I made several years ago...they are shit.

Wiht that said, just a few things. First Teymorian is out for another 3-4 months with a knee injury. Awful one as well.

Andreason and Nevland are all funny ones, signed, did a decent job and can't get in the team now. Same for Demps.

    Funny ol' world for Woy.

Speaking of The Sun, did they get any of the rumors right in the summer? I seem to recall they had us in for Kitson, I can't recall anyone else.

I may be misremembering, but I think The Sun was actually the first to report us being after Andy Johnson.

Then they had us signing Mario Gomez a couple weeks later, hehe.
