On FIFA '08, Hangeland's rating is a 77, better than any of our other defenders and tied with Davies, Davis, Niemi, Healy and Smertin for third-best among all our players behind Bullard and Keller (both 79). So I guess he's good, because if a video game said it, it must be true!

I'm actually really excited about Hangeland, despite not having seen much of him. Too bad the FA Cup game next week is a replay, otherwise that would be a great game for him to get his feet wet. Seems like he's just the player we've needed ever since Coleman retired, and I trust Roy's judgment.

hey all american football fans over the pond! first off i think the nfl is cool but its awesome you guys follow the best sport ever!

im not really a fulham fan, actually i support another team in the PL but i have been following PL and euro football in general closely for many years now and been lucky enough to been to a fair share of championships and PL games.

i was just surfing around really to see what fulham supporters worldwide think of the two new signings erik nevland and brede hangeland. it didnt seem like you knew too much about these guys so ill update you a little. (i am norwegian)

erik nevland i feel can be a hit, his first game was not too bad at least. hes been scoring shitloads in the dutch league but thats not excactly the EPL! but still he played for a somewhat weak team (groeningen) and managed to score a lot over the past years. he havent played much for norway actually i think that is partly bcause he playes in a unknown league (sad but true) and also because we have/had some extremely good forwards in ole gunnar solskjær (former man. u) and john carew (aston villa) and also steffen iversen (rosenborg at present former spurs and wolves) which is ok.

so the way i see it is that nevland is not gonna be a flop. i think either he is gonna be an ok addition to the fulham squad or hes gonna score lots, hes def a good player and he can give u some real good times for sure. he would have been very famous if he did what he did in the dutch league in italy, spain or england (obvi that would be harder considering those leagues are way better but still).

brede hangeland on the other hand, theres an amazing signing for sure. no offence but i am actually somewhat surprised fulham got him. hes been playing for fc københavn (copenhagen) for the last years and been one of the best players in the danish league (a league prolly a little better than the mls). hes been doing good things for norway and been a regular on the national squad. i think hes two games so far have been pretty good, hes tall and has lots of control in the defence. u will not be dissapointed in him, actually i would love to see him play for my team.

and yeah about how hes born in texas, i didnt know that but he def considers himself norwegian, if he wanted to play for the us he could have done that years ago. yes he did play the game we lost 0-5 to you in 06 but that squad was terrible, the coach was trying out new players etc.

good luck in the coming months!! keep up the good work on the nice webpages!

and check out the thread for the Aston Villa match. You'll see how many of us -- including me -- already have taken Hangeland to our hearts.

    "Hangeland the Rock"

Guy is a pillar back there...an incredible pickup. He is shoring up our backline by himself. Was right there to break up the attack numerous times against Villa. Also, he doens't hoof the ball upfield to whoever...can actually pick out a pass to one of our mids thus keeping possesion for us. What's his song?

I don't know but it should be sang to the melody of the theme song from the incredible hulk!

You don't want to see Brede when he's angry, you won't like him when he's angry!
