    The unfortunate thing about most of the US' top players being a part of clubs in Europe is the differences in the season schedule. Copa America will be good for the young players and they will learn from the experience, but the players who would benefit from it the most is the USMNT regulars. They obviously play in hostile environments in Europe, but they haven't really gotten that experience on the USMNT besides the WC.

    Most of the European players will return to their respective clubs after the Gold Cup and will continue to train and prepare for the season. Their national duties are pretty much over for the time being. If the squad that the USMNT is anything like what dogg has listed above we will get slaughtered. We will be the laughing stock of the Copa and that is the last thing I would like to see.
