Hughes admits mistake

'I made the decision to leave, but in hindsight it was probably the wrong decision'. Not exactly a ringing confessional and since he left to go a couple minutes down the road where the $$ flowed and he proceeded to flush it down the toilet.

 

Gotta hand it to Sparky, he knows how to play to the English and defuse the situation. Two things I've learned about (most) of our English fans while following Fulham: 1) they hate anyone leaving the club and having success and 2) they love anyone who comes back and says leaving might have been a mistake. Oh...and a third. Doesn't matter how crap a player you are, if you play to and applaud the crowd they'll love and over-rate you. The whole thing has a bit of a feudalistic feel to it.
