Evidently GM Marketing boss signed a deal with ManU as 'partner' and forgot to include a shirt deal.

    Which was shortly remedied..

But why Chevrolet in the first place? Because GM's gonna take the marque global.. Look to see it attempt to supplant Vauxhall and Opel in Europe.

Over $500M @ 7 years... Good deal for us Federal shareholders? Well ....seems the market value of our GM stake has dropped again, so raising the stakes might be a way to fix it.
    Or not.
In case I need to point out the obvious {to me, anyway}.. who here bought Aon.. whatever that is because it's on an ManU shirt? Who here would not buy Aon because it's on an MU shirt.
    - For the really foggy brained.. who here wont buy Samsung anything?

You know that's me, 'fog [who won't have anything Samsung in the house].

As for the fiduciary common sense of this deal, your attention is invited to the poor showing on ManUre's IPO. like G. Stein's Oakland, there is no there there

Without any data about the roi of football shirt sponsorship, hard to say if it's smart or not.

As to Don's point, the two have nothing to do with one another. The ipo has no value whatsoever to an investor. It's merely a novelty item and the Glazers have been quoted admitting as much. It's akin to owning a share of the Packers. The only difference between this and joining a Supporters Trust is the perceived cache that being on the NYSE brings and more exposure. Oh, and half the money that MUFC makes off the rubes who purchase the shares can go straight into the Glazers' pockets while any debt obligations fall on the club.
