Hey, I'm new here but I've been monitoring this site for a while.Big US fan, and started rooting for Fulham bc of the amount of Americans on the team.

Here are my thoughts on the game or the tourny in general. Bradley is still very young and the more he plays the better he will get. I think him and Benny will be essential to 2010. He is struggeling but is very technically sound and will just get better. I think Dempsey and Donovan up top are key because they are the best players on the team and pose the biggest threat. Once Convey comes back I think they will have a very strong midfield. I think DB played well but is soft at times going into tackles which will scare away EPL teams. Gooch is playing with zero confidence right now hopefully he can get hot in the knockout stage. I'm not completly sold on Bornstein. He is a twig and will get pushed around when playing in better competition. I perfer European based played like Simek and Spector, who both I think played well. Of course both wont be able to play when Cherundolo comes back. Spectors cross was brilliant and is something I dont think Bornstein can really provide, and I love the way Simek attacks.

Welcome. Glad you are a support the US players on Fulham. Just wait a few posts for PCB to tear apart your opinion on the USMNT. It will be lovely.

I agree with you there. Simek, Boca and Demerit are damned fine defenders. But none of them played last night.

Well that isn't true, Simek did get a handful of minutes in the end. I would have loved to see Boca and Demerit the rest of the Cup. I can only hope the best for Demerit. He's done a lot for the image of the American soccer player these past two years.

All of the yanks in the EPL have done a fantastic job...Friedel, Howard and Hanneman are all fine keepers and well respected, Boca, Simek Demerit are vital to their clubs and the fans love them, McBride is again Fulham's player of the year, Beasley scores 4 goals for the worst scoring side in the prem and Dempsey fires in a goal to keep Fulham free from relegation. (We won't talk about Onyewu...)

Convey was injured, but I'm sure he would of done a fine job.

The yanks are making us all proud.
