Brian McBride, for an influx of heart.

    Nemanja Vidic, ditto.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, as long as I'm compiling a fantasy list why not put her on it too.

Seriously, I don't know. The horse ran out of the barn in S Africa last week and for a competition that is the redheaded stepchild to almost every other int'l tournament I don't know what to say.

I Guess Timmy and Deuce are back home to take a short vacation before The Europa League.

I'd like to see Robbie Rogers get a game along with Cooper, Parkhurst, and Califf.

I don't ever want to see Conor Casey or Ricardo Clark in a USA shirt again.

I agree with Don, I would like to see more of what Cooper can do.

But please, no more PABLO!!! Please stick a fork in him.
The only thing he is good for is a yellow.

    WOULD LIKE TO SEE:
Stuart Holden. He's quality a step above.

Also, where is that Jack McInerney kid?? I don't care if he is 14 years old (which he isn't), put his scoring ass in there now!

    WOULD NOT LIKE TO SEE:
    Bob

No offense to Wynne and Spector and Hejdude, but I hope to see 'Dolo healthy and playing for the US.

Me too! 'cause we dont need no freakin field leadership or nothin'!!! Everyone can see we got plenty of that!

{/sarc} But I dont wanna see Frankie out there either. He's played THREE freakin games for the Crew this season.
OTOH, it might do Robbie good to get some minutes... he's off his timing this year and maybe needs a little change of scenery and playmates.

But not both him and Gaven.. Crew got extra games, too... wear us out, whydoncha!

Chill... it's only till the end of MLS season.

Seattle is not a certain coach's final destination.

I watched my boy Dax McCarty put in a very creditable shift for Dallas last night, and just checked the roster again. I guess he's off Bob's radar. When he was a teen I thought that by now he'd be a regular in the squad along with Szetela, Nguyen, and Preston Zimmerman.

    Wha hoppen?

I watched the match last night and wondered why Dax never pops up on Bobs radar either. Then I remembered that he is a central midfielder who is composed on the ball, makes the right pass and despite his size seems to win every loose ball cleanly. Bob seems to have no use for midfielders like that.

Has Dax done anything in MLS?

I would think this Gold Cup should appease all those who would want to see Adu get minutes.

From a curiosity perspective, I'd like to see Arnaud, Cooper, Marshall, Parkhurst, Rogers and White get some minutes to see what they can do.

For experience sake, I'd like to see as much of Adu, Altidore, Bornstein, Dolo, Demerit, Benny, Torres and Guzan as possible.

I don't want to see Clark, Casey, Pablo or Hahnemann. If you're going to play another keeper, I'd rather see if Perkins or Robles can push Guzan for the 2nd GK slot.

Oh, and one more thing I'd like to see: BEAT MEXICO. Sure, the Gold Cup isn't as "big" as the Euro or the Copa America, but barring severe seismic shifts, it's OUR continental championship, and as such it's the second most important tournament our national team plays in. The odd trip to the Copa and Confed Cup are nice for getting experience against tough opponents but this is one we should be trying our hardest to win.

true, Josh; not to mention that it is our winning of the Gold Cup that got us into the Confederations Cup against Brazil, Italy, Egypt, and Spain in the first place.

The only problem with this Gold Cup is that it is completely meaningless, pride and money aside.

The 2013 Confed Cup concacaf AQ goes to the 2011 gold cup winners.

I'll still be watching nonetheless, as there's no way I'll splash out $30+ to see the USA's JV team when I can watch an equally as talented team in the Baltimore Orioles for only $8!

Davies, Robles and Adu are the only carryovers from the Confederations Cup. I am at least a little surprised that Torres wasn't named after he did not play at all.

I hope that Dolo being named to the roster means that he is well on the road to recovery.

I wish Altidore were playing. In my opinion, Bradley should play him as much as possible in the hopes that with some good performances, he will catch on somewhere where he'll actually get playing time. I don't see that happening at Villareal unless they lose Rossi.

Heath Pearce is also a holdover from the Confed.

Here's an insight into Torres' view of being left of the roster:

Glass half full kind of guy, at least publicly. If he means it, like the cut of his jib.
