GOAL 2

Does anyone know when Goal2 is coming out in teh USA? i KNOW IT'S NO Academy award movie; but at least its about futbol.

 

No idea. But the first one was not that bad, although my expectations were not exactly high.

I have a feeling the last installment may end up being the best, or at least most poignant.

 

The first was sooo schmaltzy, but not bad as "rain-out ballgame movie".

I wonder if FFC will again get a bit in the film. It was difficult to watch the last time: do you root for FFC or root for Santiago.

Waitaminute! Trilogy??!? You mean there's gonna be ANOTHER one of these formula flix? Where's Gurinder Chadha when you need her?

I love the first one... I know it is bad - epecially the part where he says he is staying even tho his dad is dead, and then he starts kicking balls into the goal - CORN BALL!

But still - I get a little tear in my eye when he finds out his dad watched him play.

I wish they would hurry up tho - its not like this is The Lord of The Rings.

 

Didnt look at the link but I had previously read it was due out Sept. 28th. Is it not?

 

Still havent heard about a US release date. Anyone out there who knows anything?

 

Goal 2 is twice as 'bad' as the first but if I'm sure you expect the predictability.

 

There's only so many ways you can do a sports movie. The kids love it though.

 

It would have a LONG way to go to be as bad as 'Soccer Dog' or 'Ladybugs'.

And saay... didnt Stallone play the GK? At least there's THAT.
If they'd had him playing a field player that would have been totally ludicrous.
