    16th place (their worst ever Prem finish), 38 points, and having to stay off the touchline so the fans wouldn't abuse him has gotten Alex McLeish his walking papers. Hiring Villa's arch rival's manager just after he guided them to relegation wasn't exactly the smartest move :roll: Villa's last win under him was...March 10 over Fulham :angry-banghead:

    And yes Steve Kean is still in charge at Blackburn :text-lol:

    You don't fire a manager who gets your team in 4th place for footballing reasons, no matter what Levy says. I believe Tottenham let 'arry the Thug go for the same reason that England did NOT sign him on as boss: there are some serious charges of economic malfeasance hanging around out there. It won't be long before he's in the dock facing charges of bribery, corruption, and failure to declare income/pay taxes.

    The only thing that upset me about his firing is that it gave the English sporting press to focus on 'arry when they should be focusing on Roy.
