A big :handgestures-thumbupleft: for the Talking Heads vids. While in high school there was a theatre in downtown Chicago that played Stop Making Sense every weekend for over a year, so have seen that movie countless times (not going to admit this was involved :banana-stoner: but we did always sneak in munchies  )

I really wanted to see if The Shirts had a video of "Tina of the Talking Heads", but at least I found this. Tina is a great bassist and the Talking Heads were a great, if dysfunctional, band.

They are one of my fave bands and have been since I first saw them in 1979 in CBGB's.

Note: I did remember that at least there is this: Tina of the Talking Heads
I have a Brit friend who knows of The Shirts and this song, but had never heard of the Talking Heads and thought they were some small, local NYC band. Go figure.

I found myself humming this tune today, RDG. "Only the dead know Brooklyn..." Thanks for sharing and the dude in the black cowboy hat looks like an older Woody Harrelson.

Some of you may recognize the fella on the right...better than Poco, I may add (just ignore the troubling headlines on the ticker at the bottom of the screen). Wish we had more of the last tune as well...

Wow, that was a LONG time ago. Thanks for posting, Nev; I'm kind of surprised you were able to find that. The weird thing about this is that it was four years ago, and I have MORE hair now!

I think I know about every Bowie song word for word. Maybe not his newer stuff though?

How about some women who know how to play some licks on a guitar? Sister Rosetta Tharpe...what an amazing influence on rock and roll. Sadly, does not get a lot of the credit she deserves.

Nevzter, for some reason CCR got me thinking about some blue grass. Here is Steve Martin, famous and lucky enough to play with blue grass and banjo pickin' legend Earl Scruggs
