So you want to know when we may be planning another trip??!! Keep reading...

In the last week, I have received emails from a few people asking about a trip, if we were planning one yet and when it may be. So, here are our thoughts so far:

A couple of the emails i got actually suggest October as a good month to travel to London and I completely agree, thus, we are shooting at spending a long weekend in London to see a home match in mid or late October.

Having made the flight 14 times in the last couple of years, I find that October is one of the cheaper months to fly since kids are back at school. Also, Prem matches in October almost never get changed and the weather is usually decent at this time. The Premier League schedule is due to coming out around June 22nd and we can have a look at matches then.

    Thoughts?

Edit: I have already spoken to the club regarding tours, hospitality, etc. so they are well aware of the trip. Depending on numbers, we may also get one of the hospitality boxes in the Hammy End.

Hey, Mike, with the schedule released last week--my vote goes to November 4th against Everton, which seems the most exciting home game in that timeframe.

Here is what we are shooting for.

Either the week of October 23rd where two matches could be seen:
    Wed October 25th Carling Cup R3 Carling Cup - - - 19.45
    Sat October 28th Wigan (H) Prem - - - 15.00

Or the first weekend in November (good choice Heather):
    Sat November 4th Everton (H) Prem - - - 15.00

I am voting for this one. It is always better to see two matches rather than one.

Yeah, I would rather see two games too.

BTW, what's up with time of the posts? They're off by 4 hours. :?:

While the one trip has two matches, we don't know where the Carling Cup one will be. I could be far from London. Personally, I vote for November since I might be busy in October (Go Detroit Tigers).

Then again, maybe we could still go that week and whoever wants to make the Wednesday match can but if you can't, you can still see the match vs. Wigan.

Wigan or Everton?? Flight prices will probably be pretty low at this time of the year.

Sounds like you guys have it set. I'll be going November 23rd to the 28th. I plan on buying a ticket to Fulham vs Reading game. So looks like I'll just miss you guys! I think Fulham plays Arsenal on that following Wednesday, but I'd rather not stay for that.

I went during the same period last year. It was a little cold for my southern tastes lol but it was enjoyable. There was no one on the plane over there. I had 3 seats to myself. :D

I was just looking at flight prices for London in late October and the cheapest I saw with taxes and all was just over $700. I was looking on Orbitz and British Airways. That is a very steep price. I was expecting to pay around $450.

Yeah that's why I went in late November. I think I even booked the flight in September. We flew Delta out of Atlanta for just over $500 each straight to Gatwick. (I hate Gatwick).

    Tom,
You do not have to fear about flight prices, TRUST ME. The flight will cost you around $400 tops and we'll book them just less than a month before we leave. The make the flight prices high now and then based on the amount of seats they sell, dramatically decrease the price.

With your post in mind Tom, I have spoken with my representative at American Airlines and he is getting back to me regarding sponsoring the FulhamUSA trip again this year.

They have agreed that it won't matter what city in America every leaves from but we need to have atleast 12 people.

Details to follow but this will decrease everyones ticket by atleast 10-15%.
