If we were going to win it, that was our best chance. White Hart Lane hasn't been kind to us. But as mentioned, we'll have some guys back, so will they, it'll be a different game. I disagree that a replay is worse than a loss.

To the match, I thought Spurs had the better of the first half by a bit, we had the better of the second but not by much. Good performances by Zamora, Gera, Duff, Shorey and Hangeland. Schwarzer made a few dodgy choices but the defense made them non-issues. Our central mids were good defensively but they are detrimental to the attack more often than not. Etuhu gave the ball away at an alarming rate.

Watching Spurs is like watching a mythical fantasy. You've got an elf (Bale), a pixie (Modric), a giant (Crouch), an ogre (Gomes) and a fairy (Pavlyuchenko).

Btw, just how hard was the wind blowing in the Cottage today? It looked like that own goal video out there.

Definitely a tough one to watch. I actually thought Zamora had a few bright spots, but was effectively taken out of the match by some aggressive defending by Tots. They were on his ass as soon as he got the ball. Dickson...just make the dude a full time defender, as he approaches mid field and beyond, he performance gets progressively worse. Agree with Ag, when he touches the ball I just immediately figure we are going on defense. Murphs was sorely missed.

The Aussie was tough as usual and back four were solid. Duff was active but nothing memorable. Guess that pretty sums up most of the game, nothing memorable.

It was a fair result. Not looking forward to the replay.

Shed-load of TOUGH matches on the horizon.

Fulham and Spurs have drawn Pompey. Excellent, to a point.

For the love of the footballing gods we must advance. If it turns out to be 'Arry and Portsmouth then it's going to be a media circus.

I accidentally saw the result before watching the match off my DVR, but I watched it anyway for some reason, and my couple of thoughts are:

Nicky Shorey looks like John Terry.

I think he's called "Elm" because he moves about as fast as a tree.

I really do not like Heurelho Gomes. I don't think we're ever going to score against Spurs again. (Related: I don't like our chances in the replay.)

I've looked all over and hadn't seen it anywhere else- so maybe an intern somewhere screwed up, but on ESPNSoccernet's site it lists the replay as an upcoming match for Spurs with a specific date attached (but it's not mentioned on Fulham's Soccernet page):

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/team?id=367&cc=5901

That makes sense in terms of timeframe, but it's strange that's it up there before an official announcement.

the date I saw was 3/26, but that doesn't make any sense since that's a Friday.

    My comments:

In-form Murphy is better than Greening

    We miss Dempsey

With a different ref, Zamora draws a lot more fouls, given the way they were defending him.

So yeah, even at their house, with a different ref and Murphy and Dempsey back, I really like our chances.

As for Shorey vs. Konch. meh. Shorey doesn't make the one-bonehead-play-per-game that Konch does, but doesn't bomb down the flanks as aggressively. Konch does better "winger-crosses" but Shorey has a more cultured delivery from deeper areas. 6 = 1/2dz

Missed our best oppotunity at having home advantage as it's been said dont like our chances at WHL.

Totally agree with Fulhamag Etuhu gives the ball away every match this was no exception, people on here think differantly like they do Zamora, Just my opinion so dont get too upset Don.

This wasn't a typical FA Cup game very disappointed by both sides should have beaten a below par Spurs side too.

I agree that Etuhu's defensive game is far better than his offensive one; if I were to guess, his defensive positioning and anticipation is more instinctive while offensively, he can't always keep up with the mental speed of the game.

He does better paired with Murph, so you're probably onto something there. I noticed on the defensive end Duff was directing him quite a bit.

I think we are. Pavleuchenko is injured as well as Dafoe. And, after the crap turnout Ekotto had at LB yesterday, I know Duff can't wait to run at him. He's physically gifted, but his brain is a half-step from meltdown. If 'arry puts the young Welsh Elf back there, he'll lose an effective left mid.

Assuming that Hangeland and Zamora are fit enough to play, I think we take them.

Well in 270 minutes this season the Whites have scored exactly zero goals v the Spuds. How are the lads going to unlock their D and beat Gomes?

At the Cottage, truly anything is possible. Away from home though, not so much. As Joe points out, we haven't scored on them in a while. Of course, you can take the counter that we're due. Given Spurs' injuries, that's a good possibility. It wouldn't surprise me to see this end in a draw and go to penalties.

Spurs were lucky they didn't draw or lose at Stoke this past weekend.

Conversely, Eidur Gudjohnsen was rather sublime and someone that should concern us.

Days before the first game I started dreaming about Tottenham. Lately the dreams have been coming back.

    I hope it's not a bad omen.

Also, has anyone else been disappointed with FSC+? An 8pm replay?!?

As opposed to watching online (which is what I'd have to do on any Sentanta match), no, not at all. For a Wed, an 8 pm replay actually works out better for me. I hope we don't see that on a weekend though.
