Yes they were. In fact, I thought Stoke was unlucky not to win that match.

Even a semi-final would all but guarantee us a UEFA Cup spot. On a bit of a tangent, I would really like to see the FA give a Champions League spot to the cup winner. Might give the competition a bit more meaning if only the top 3 were guaranteed a CL spot, and the #4 team would have to fight it out with everyone else. Wouldn't have made a difference last season, but it would have put West Ham in the CL (instead of Arsenal) two years ago.

Well, I know we're not on television, but will the match be on FFC on-line radio? I'm still angry because:

    a. they didn't broadcast the original tie -- DESPITE taking 1-match subscription fees for it.
    b. they didn't respond to my WTFO email asking about the lack of GJ.

If they do have it on "Fulham TV," I'll be listening. Otherwise, I'll watch Liddypuddle v. Luton on FSC.

Roy, please DON'T put Bullard out on that League One pitch where a bunch of no-hopers can kick lumps out of him. Send him out against Arsenal instead.

In response to Don, I would guess the match will NOT be on FulhamTV. The FA Cup has seperate rights than the Premier League and other competitions. That being said, I have no idea if FulhamTV has the rights. Even if it is broadcast, GJ will likely not be the commentator.

As for the match itself, we just need an effin' win!! I could care less who we are playing, we just need a win to boost some confidence into the team. Playing against a Championship team could be good....as long as Fulham wins.

tom: it's worse than you think. Rovers is League One and near the bottom. It's City that's near the top of the Championship.

Even better. This should be a win and we should get a boost of confidence .

or we lose and bottom out which is followed by relegation then all the "talent" on the side goes elsewhere and we fall from the Championship to League 1.

But that's just the pessimist in me. I think we'll win 2-0.

It could definitely happen. Fulham is historically and infrastructurally a Championship or League One side. I mean when Al Fayed dies, which will happen in the near future, what is going to happen?

I really want us to get a cup run. If we can beat Rovers, we're a lock to be playing a non-league side in round 4. If we have a shot of staying up, the confidence of winning on the road will be a shot in the arm. If we don't have a shot, a good cup run will be something to take out of the league with us.

Look for Derby to put everything they have into the FA Cup.

From the silver lining file....Clean Sheet and No Loss :D

On a serious note, with this late of a postponement gotta feel for the fans who cleared their schedule and were probably on their way to Bristol.

Okay, I was wrong: 3rd from bottom Luton held them on Boxing Day with NINE men:

    -------Bristol Rovers 1 - 1 Luton ------------
    16' ..................................... C Coyne [red card]
    17' .....R Lambert (pen) 1 - 0
    42' ...................................... S Robinson [red card]
    49' .............................. 1 - 1 D Edwards
    77' ....................................... A Grant [red card]

This is the best incentive I can come up with to beat these humpties on their own mudheap.

Well, the delayed replay is tomorrow -- pitch permitting. If we win we get yet another away cup tie on Satuday -- again against a minnow. If we win THAT one, that would give us a two-game away winning streak just before our away matches at Bolton and 'boro. Wouldn't it be nice to end our long league away streak by getting 6 points there.

But back to the match tomorrow. FSC is showing ZERO FA Cup soccer until Saturday [not our match] and the Offal site doesn't even acknowledge that we're playing tomorrow, so I'm assuming there's no radio coverage either. I guess we'll have to rely on match tracker from Soccernet [or the Offal if somebody tells them WE HAVE A MATCH!]

I'm still hoping that we DON'T use Bullard on a pitch that's going to be realllly sucky if you have knee problems, but that we DO start Kuqi and Healy with Dempsey just behind them.

    Rovers 0 Fulham 2
