You sure he's back playing on 1st team? If that's true, that's fantastic news and certainly a source of motivation for the team

Should be a great game at the Boleyn, most London derbys are good for the money. Personally i see 3 points for the Hammers as we have some of our injured list coming back this week, One of which is LBM and looks like he will be starting against his old club.

See you down the pub Jacob!

    From RH:

"We haven't ruled Jimmy Bullard out of the game on Saturday completely. It's unlikely he'll play because he's ahead of schedule and our medical team have advised us to be cautious. But I'm certain that if I told Jimmy I needed him to play, he would be the first one changed and out on the pitch."

However, he's not listed in the squad on the BBC match preview page, which is usually pretty accurate.

If there's one thing to look forward to about this match is that West Ham isnt very good at home. Yes, they did defeat ManYoo recently there, but a)they have their number and b)it was more of ManYoo losing it than the Illegal Aliens winning it.

Their other 2 wins were against Boro and Sunderland in the beginning of the season, and those two matches account for half of their home goals.

I personally hate West Ham because of their hooligan past and their illegal players, yet they ALWAYS get a pass in the media. And lets not mention Elijah Wood. Forever blowing bubbles my ass...

Its crazy, but I got a good feeling about this.

My butler is bringing his knife! :D

I got a little over excited with the Bullard post. I meant to say if he is in the first team I hope he gets to come off the bench for a few min and stick in.

It's great to see that Brian, Bully, and everyone else are getting closer. I can't wait. - This weeks game should be good one. We've got Boa Morte and Curbishley still alittle bitter on the way Murphy and Konch left him in the past. So there's the usual side stories....I see it (1-1). Oh, what the hell. Davies gets the late game winner (2-1).

    I'll go with BCcottage's XI.

2-1 to the good guys!!! I think after the Bristol match the team will rally and we can get this result. I'm going against the grain, but WE HAVE TO GET AN AWAY RESULT SOMETIME!!

Throw me into the looney bin w/Timmy G and Jacob, I got a feeling the lads aren't going to come away empty handed.

What can I say? Well, there's a lot that I can say about our current conditions...

2-1. Another lost lead, another lost match. Another step toward the relegation trapdoor.

It's only fitting that the team we faced was West Ham, who themselves made an incredible recovery from their early malaise last season to avoid the drop. And now the two teams appear headed in wrong directions -- West Ham settling in midtable and Fulham digging themselves a deeper hole.

Murphy's Law states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. It certainly applied to Fulham's downfall today. To our credit, we did take the early lead through Simon Davies. But then, the bottom quickly fell out, starting with Boca's exit only minutes later through an injury. Then the first goal... then the second goal... then the final whistle. The last few minutes, we played with NO strikers on the pitch, having substituted Healy out for Smertin. Would be comedy gold had I not been a fan. :crying:

Not even the long-anticipated return of Jimmy Bullard to the Fulham fold (as a late substitution when we were already down) could provide the inspiration we so desperately needed toward the final minutes. This loss, coupled with Wigan's win over Derby, leaves us five points away from safety, having picked up only 15 points from 22 matches. If the 40 point mark represents the cut-off, we would have to win at least eight matches out of the last sixteen -- in other words, we'd have to win half of our matches.

Stranger things have happened in football and we've obviously beaten the relegation rap every year since we've come up. But with so little time to prepare the team for the final push up the table -- with a ravaged squad and a new manager, no less -- it's getting more and more difficult to envision an amazing run toward survival.

I remember reading a Soccernet article from Phil Ball about the impending relegation of Real Sociedad (a side now managed by our former boss Chris Coleman) a while back, and now that I've had the chance to read it over again, I'm starting to feel the same way about the all-too-real possibilities of dropping down to the Championship. We've had close calls with the Premiership guillotine before, but none of them were as close as this.

I never could have imagined that we would find ourselves at such a low point, but the fact is, this is where we are. This is the hole that we have dug for ourselves, and we'll simply have to do our utmost to crawl out of it. These are dangerous times, and it is up to us now to try and make the great escape, whether we fail to do so or not.

There's a certain element of masochism that goes along with being a Fulham supporter. But it would be worth all the pain we've had to endure up to this point if we were to somehow beat the drop at the end...

Well, we did score, so something must have been on goal...unless it was like when you're playing basketball and you put up and airball and then say "that was a pass!"...except the "pass" somehow goes in.

    I'll shut up now.

Does someone who is better at stats/math than me have any idea at this point, given the number of games left and the point spread of the last five teams, just how good/bad our chances are?

The obvious answer, I know, is WIN SOME DAMN GAMES, but I wonder when the time to actually panic might be. I wouldn't want to start frothing at the mouth any earlier than I actuall have to...

How in the world did we find ourselves with one striker? It looks like we may have to over pay to get a quality striker in. McBride's probably another month away and we don't have a lot of options.

Kamara is on national team duty and Kuqi is gone; who else do we have?

6 wins, 9 draws, and 1 loss will get us to 40 points. I think we still have a chance.
