I will reveal why I didn't think we were going to win now. We were unbeaten at home in our European history and I thought for sure this was the time we would lose. Damn I can't believe we're going to a European final.

I burst into tears when the final whistle blew & it took me a good 10 minutes before my eyes dried up a bit. The most amazing game I've watched since...well...we beat Juventus! But this one was even more amazing.

BTW...you can't deny Clint's impact. The pace changed once he came on.

COME ON YOU MIGHTY WHITES! WE'RE GOING TO GERMANY!!!

I planned to watch the second half at The Amsterdam Tavern. I went home first to grab my scarf, and plopped down at the kitchen table and sat entranced for the next 45 minutes. Wow. Now I have to put in for a half-day of vacation on May 12.

having wakened my mother in celebrating, I explained through my tears, "Fulham are in the final." she relied 'jeez, its just soccer.' I felt a little sorry for her just then. but nevermind that. Fulham Are In The Final. Five of the sweetest words I've ever heard. May God continue to bless FFC, Amen.

Still in a state of euphoria. Heroes everywhere, but the understated, underrated, unflappable partner of Hang-man is my Man of the Match. Aaron Hughes saved our bacon 4 or 5 times, simply outstanding.

At the lion having a quick one before hitting the tube. It is a feaking state of euphoria!

If you still believe stand up!

I cannot describe how nuts the cottage was over the last half hour. The place was shaking.

Whoever you were that could not make the game, I hope wherever you were was just as a joyous occassion as mine was in the putney end. And to the tout who took a 100 off me, all is forgiven!

Wow, the football gods have smiled on me today.

    Que sera, que sera
    Whatever will be will be
    We are going to Germany

I was late for the game.

    We were down.

Jacob told me to bring the Pope John Paul II blessed rosary beads. Thought I had forgotten them. They were in my glove box. All good.

Get to the Brewhouse. Very quiet. Chris gave me my Europa Semi-Final Fulham v. Hamburg scarf. I'm wearing my signed kit...become very tense.

Tied it up...big hugs. Scared for Davies. He gets up **phew**

Second goal...BIGGER hugs...go ballistic! Profess love for Gera.

Longest few minutes of my life. Pray for whistle.

    Can't watch...

    WE WIN!!!!!!!!

Stay for Liverpool v. Atletico...Liverpool fans are in the side room...loud and not very happy. They lose. We silently celebrate so as not to piss them off...

The Scousers at The Brewy told us to eff off.

    Heeheeheeeee!!!

Fulham in Europa Final...OH. MY. GOD!!!!!!!!!

That was amazing. I sat in a pub with 8 Liverpool supporters, myself the lone FFC rep. For 90 min or so they were so confident they were going through and I got the "tough luck, but you had a good run" bit. Then in one 8 min or so span, it all flipped. (edit: just watched the highlights...so it was 6 min...even better).

Missed you today, Hatter. General Horny Toad, you've got some driving to do. Cheers to Martin in Nashville, hope that scotch goes down well. Our texting has been a good omen. And to the rest of FUSA.....   !

Madrid look the more dangerous draw offensively, but the plus side is that they don't know us like Liverpool do. We'll be the underdog again, but that suits me just fine.

I'll save the analysis for later, but the turning point was the Dempsey sub. I agree on Hughes being MoM. Un-flipping-real. We feel like a team of destiny.

I was watching the stream and in the chatroom until right after the Hamburg goal..

That area is a really dangerous spot and I had a sinking feeling looking at the wall setup... I've been relatively uncanny in calling goals from that area - watching GBS and Beckham operate does that to ya.. and my "Aw Shit!" comment wasnt about the foul it was about the idea that Hamburg wasnt going to send up just any old duffer to take the kick.

What impresses me more every game is Fulham's Defense against run of play shooting. I would wager there is no one better in the Prem at the moment.

Just got off the phone with Matt and got a good run down. I will NOT be at work on May 12. There will be Fullers ESB at the Lion and Rose. Come on Down General.

martin-in-Nashville: please stand in for all on this site who grew up with Fulham. As happy as we are for ourselves and for Fulham, we're twice that happy for you Fulham vets. How far you've come and what the side has accomplished the last two seasons, you guys must all be going out of your minds! CONGRATS!
