Well, the best we could hope for is a home draw and we got it. I'd rather see Derby than Chelsea.

Know what? I think the lads will be up for this one. Nobody likes losing as badly as they did at their place. I think they'll bring it at home, who knows, possibly even sneak in an upset. Anything's possible now that li'l hitler's gone.

And hopefully Derby will take us lightly since they mauled us so easily last time.

and Tuesday is just a few days away. I like our chances. I see Parker, McCormack, Rodallega, and Ruiz sitting this one out, and my fellow ex-Hatter nicking the winner.

I agree, with the possible exception McCormack, who was tremendous against Charlton and who, I believe, featured at Rotherham. This will be a good yardstick to see how far we've really come under Kit. A reminder: this team probably deserves to be in the top tier this season instead of QPHaaa.

We have 3 league games in a 7 day span; Nov. 1st (at 19th place Wigan), the 5th (home to 24th place Blackpool), and the 8th (home to 17th place Huddersfield). There is a real chance to fly up the table, so while winning this would be nice, I'm hoping the youngsters get the run out, and no one gets hurt.

I agree with Joe. A win here would be nice but we need to keep the typical starters fresh for the league matches. Derby may do the same thing, which would give us a chance. These cup ties are so hard to predict.

That's fantastic! Let's give him a run out and see what happens! Big moment for him, I'm sure!

Ah man, that wasn't cool. 5-2 to the castrated sheep, err Rams.

I'll take it. We went in with a lineup that was focused on the more important goal of moving up in the Championship. Despite a number of young players getting the start, we gave Derby a scare playing strong and taking advantage of opportunities in the first half - followed by a second half of beating up Mr. Sweatpants. That's okay. Helps maintain Bettinelli's status. Now we don't have to worry about the Capital One Cup clogging up our schedule. Also no injuries that I'm aware of, so we can head into our match against Wigan with the realistic expectation of earning points on the road.

I was checking the score periodically while in a meeting (don't tell my boss) and it seemed to go from 2-2 to 2-5 in a hurry. Sounds ugly. I hope it wasn't that bad.
