They seemed to lose confidence after the tying goal (even their play in the 1st half after the goal was not good). I don't know what would improve their confidence, though, other than a road win. Maybe if they'd gotten the tying goal late in the game...

First off, kudos on the cool shield logo at the top. Haven't been here in quite a while, but I hope to contribute on a more regular basis.

I know we could have had a draw at Bolton -- it was in our grasp. I was impressed with the boys for the most part. To answer your question, I think it has to be a psychological block because this kind of "almost" performance has transpired too often this season.

I don't think we BELIEVE we can take points on the road, and therefore find some way to lose.

I think there is nothing wrong with the line-ups or tactics when they're on the road. It just seems when Fulham get a lead on the road the team just sits back and just tries to counter everything the other teams does, instead of playing the way did to get the lead. The team has a mental lapse while the other team is attacking and they pay the price for it.

The team just needs to keep attacking and/or fight for the loose ball like they do earlier in the game, instead of just letting the other team take their chances. It's like the team is afraid of losing on the road, instead of playing to win--I guess it's a matter of attitude.

I pretty much agree that it's a psych thing. How many times have Fulham played top rate football on the road, without anything to show for it? It reminds me of the mental block that Radz seemed to have until just recently, during his long goal drought. It seemed like he was pressing so much and he wound up missing easy shots and just could not buy that first goal. He hasn't been scoring any more goals since his first, but he seems to be playing more relaxed and has been a key component to Fulham's performances of late.

So the whole team needs to take a page out of Radz's book and get over that road win hump! Then, they might not be the best team on the road, but maybe they can relax a bit and play dominant football for a whole match, and not just 45 minutes!

Speaking of Radz and scoring, there is a great picture for sale in the official web site shop of Radz celebrating the West Brom goal with his shirt off and his teammates all around him.
