Must be a bit of a frustrating time for Deuce. He proved himself worthy of being a starter last season and has a nose for net. But it's hard to argue with the current starting XI based on the results and quality of play. So perhaps he'd like to move elsewhere. Yet, he's Fulham's 12th or 13th man and thus far too valuable for Roy to let him go. Tough state of limbo for him. I just hope he gets enough regular football to stay in form for the Nats.

I never get to see games live w/out Setanta. I have to just watch the highlights. It stinks!

Hope to be in the chatroom for the first half -- off to pimp for more gigs Saturday lunchtime. Let's get a comfortable lead -- what's that? -- and put them away easily.

It's becoming clear to me that a good team has trouble doing that consecutively. If they're like the Crew - which from all appearances they are- they need something to battle against.

So my computer's monitor went kaput so there'll be no podcast. But here's how I see things breaking down:

Since defeating an ill-equipped and unfocused Everton side on opening day, Blackburn have given up 9 goals, while only scoring 2. Paul Robinson is probably mostly to blame for that. But given the ebb and flow of the Premiership, this could be a match where they rebound. Dunn is out, which is good for us, as is Grella (whoever that is).

But Fulham have to be ready for a fight. If Hangeland can shut down Santa Cruz, and Murphy boss his fellow geriatric Tugay, then I think we should be in good shape.

Imagining a win, but will probably get a draw.

    1-1.

    My 2 sense:

Fulham have the big Mo, as in Mo Mentum, and Blackburn does not. I like us between the sticks and in the back line, as I feel Robinson is good for a blunder that can be turned into a legitimate goal scoring opportunity. Midfield is close to a push, and I would rather have their strikers, if Santa Cruz can get back on form.

As a fan, I'd hate to see the Ws chasing a win on the road for a long period of time, and this is a team that is back on their heels, although Ince will see to it that they do not hang their heads. I've also picked a 1-1 draw, which is my head overruling my heart.

No lineups, Woy will just have to do without my help this week.

    COYW!!

Detaching myself emotionally from this a little; I don't see it happening. It would be a third win in a row, and on the road no less. Blackburn will be fighting back after getting thrashed last week as well.

The odds are not in our favor.

The odds are in our favor if we play better than they do! :D

    Paul Ince on Roy:

I don't know about you, but I never get tired of seeing good words about our Woy. We're very lucky IMHO.

I think it's time to kick the Rovers, while they're down. They've given up a boat load of goals and I think we'll continue to create a lot of chances. The D needs to keep an eye on the speedy Roberts and we'll come out with the 3 points on the road (2-1).

Couldn't agree more ... Roy is definitely a top shelf manager and Fulham are lucky to have him.

Ive actually been a member for a while but never got round to posting. I was in Kent 2 years ago when i signed up but have since been through baltimore, back to kent, now in charlotte (NC) and will probably be back in Kent in December. Bit of a Ocean hopper right now!

On your question about Setanta though last year they were ok but a lot of people are annoyed as they are PP Month in the UK and didnt give their highlights out to the free to air channels very easily.

Would have gladly taken the point at the 80 minute mark. Only listened to GJ, but Konch was poor again, Murphy was Mr. Hyde w/some bad giveaways.

Biggest question is No Subs? why wouldn't Roy bring in some fresh legs? (especially Leon for some bite). Rovers brought in 3 w/one of them scoring the match winner. No subs sends the wrong message to the squad.

Hope other teams don't take a page out of the Blackburn game plan which was to hammer Jimmy at any chance.

I'm pegging this one on Woy. Seriously, what the hell was he thinking out there.

Why would the team continue to one-touch pass the ball through the middle when you're playing Slidetackle FC? Kick it out wide, stretch the defense, and pepper the net with shots. Attempting to be Arsenal when you're getting hacked, mugged, and practically stabbed is idiotic.

No subs? Was Woy napping or did he just not notice Zamora doing NOTHING for the last 35+ mins. Same with Murphy and Gera. When everyone is getting beaten to death, why wouldn't you bring on some fresh legs/bodies?

I'm actually not pissed about this. Just really, really confused.

Oh, did anyone else notice the "Paul Ince Face"? Even he's realizing he's wayyy over his head.

No subs was surprising, I would have loved to see Dempsey come on for"Za-missing" and run at the defense for 10minutes. Ultimately the result as just, we didn't deserve the win for sure, but would have been quite happy with a share of the points. They got the break in the end at home, as they should. I think if we're at the Cottage, we get that same break in the end.

AJ looked like he was 4'11'' while getting dominated in the air, and Samba/Nelsen even made Zamora look tiny on the day.

Wasn't it Blackburn who historically gave Arsenal trouble? The style of play today showed why. We needed to bring some more grit (Andreason) and guile (Dempsey) onto the pitch. Chalk this loss to Roy.

Biggest gripe was the no subs choice by Woy. Dempsey and Andreasen were crying out to be used in a physical game. Listening to GJ (a real treat, that was my first time hearing him!), I didn't think anyone from Fulham really had a great game. And there were no changes in the starting XI from setting Bolton on fire. What a game.

Dang, Woy, we still love you but please don't do that again.

I am not one to usually place blame on the manager's tactics, because players are the ones who must execute them in order to be effective. However, Roy did not do anything to help a side that was obviously lacking creativity and energy.

Andreassen, Dempsey, Stoor or Seol could have changed the pace tone of the match, but Roy didn't opt for any of them.

It's a shame... a point would have been justified.
