I thought Dean Leacock was impressive in his limited appearances last year. Any chance he can become a regular this year? Is he strictly a CB or can he play LB or RB as well?

Leacock can play in the center and on the right. He has some potential and could be a fringe first-team player if the regular first-teamers get hurt but I think Leacock will spend most of this upcoming season in the Reserves.

I hope he can develop though over this season and make some appearances for the first team. That would be nice.

I have spent much of the last couple of evenings and many of the Leyton Orient fans are gutted that he has left but they realized the money was too good to let go. They also kinda knew he was on his way out...but they do rate him highly and at 20 years old, lets hope he blossoms into something special for the black and white.

I see you guys mention Leacock as a up and coming youngster but what about the most important youngster to date, IMO, Michael Timlin.

Captain of the Republic of Ireland's Under 21 squad where the team won the Madeira International Tournament this year. He has been loaned out a few times and I really hope he breaks through the ranks, it would be nice to have another home grown guy come through.

Just read in the BBC's transfer section:

Birmingham's £3m bid for Dutch striker Collins John has been accepted by Fulham. (Various)

This is simply bizarre if true.

Also, Steeeeeeed Malbranque is supposedly not in Devon with the first team but in Austria with the reserve team. UNBELIEVABLE. Interesting things are going on...

    thats a load of bollocks.

anyways, boro want to sign malbranque, but coleman might do a swap deal with downing, that'll be good.

How do you get the pound sign to type?

Anyway, that is a good amount for Collins John. As previously mentioned, I respect this move a whole lot more than Steed's. However, I hope Cookie and the King aren't making a mistake by letting him go.

Letting Collins John go and replacing him with 22-year-old Bjorn Runstrom from Sweden is not what I call shrewd business. Reports from SkySports.com have Fulham very close to a deal with Runstrom.

Runstrom was a good scorer in the Swedish league, but I question whether he will be able to make a huge jump to the Premiership. I guess we will see.

Needless to say, I am suspect of some of the moves right now. I like the fact that Fulham is signing some younger players, but we also need some guys who can contribute right away for the team this season. I suspect Zakuani and Runstrom will not play major parts in the first team.

I dont think you can make a prediction on a given player based on what league he comes from... but you can certainly establish odds on him making it.

Maybe 50-50 on him being on the selection list in second half of season. Could be worse.. if he came from Norsk.

Get real, we now have two strikers. Yes two, Radzinski in no way counts as a striker. Unbelivible. Those Sidney Govu rumors better be true.
    05-06 EPL scoring
    John 11
    McBride 10
    Iceman 8
    Steed 6
    Boa 6
    Radzinski 2
    Jensen 2
    Diop 1
    Bocaegra 1

We need to replace 17 goals
Jimmy Bullard had 4 goals for Wigan last season.

Diop we pray stays healthy and legitimately can create more than one goal, but yes there will be a giant hole there.

Hmmmm, who tops the wish list of realistic possibilities?

Mike, on the left hand side at the bottom there is a Union Jack flag. Click that and portions of the site are made available in English.
