So Fulham play Stoke next , not Pompey. And it's in two days.

This is a really big match because stoke are sputtering and we could really use a second away win.

    1-0 to Fulham. COWY!

Stoke is a difficult place to play. Their fans are a real 12th man. Having said that, they've run into a bad bit of form now, and there's some locker room dissention going on. Their football is a little on the ugly side. That's not necessarily bad, but it makes it less likely that they'll pull out a dose of genius. The big thing that concerns me about them is that Tuncay is starting to feature more for them.

As timmyg was saying on his podcast, it's time for us to start going after those away 3 pointers against weaker teams. I agree.

Danny is rested, The Duffster is rested. Kelly did a servicable job at RB against Swindon, and if Big Brede isn't ready to get back, young Mr. Smalling might just do the do. I'm hoping 0-1, with another goal by the Famous Bobby Z.

While I think Fulham are fully capable of taking all 3 points on Tuesday, I hope this match doesn't morph into Birmingham away, version 2.0.

Murphy back to CM and I hope the 4-4-1-1 is reinstated. AJ's not ready to start yet, if ever again.

I'd really like to have Brede for this match, considering the style that Stoke play. Smalling is good, but doesn't quite have Brede's presence in the box.

These are the type of matches we have to win if we are to continue our progression. Hodgson is fully aware of that and how it reflects on him if we do not.

    Look for a win.

Arrgghh .. Wish Livesoccertv would make up its mind whether it's gonna do Setanta lists or not.

Note Blackburn v Villa is between the two showings and Irish Hurling {from July!} is sched'd after the second show.
    UPDATE:
Forget that.. no tv as of now. Setanta US is out of the EPL biz.

Is that meant to be punny?

No game coverage at all, near as I can tell.

I know I posted this in the other thread, but the match seems, for now, to be back on at 5pm.

    This is silly.

RE: Re: RE: Fulham @ Stoke City No TV

Trivia I just learned, though probably not news to the old-timers, and relevant to tomorrow's match:

Rodney McAree's goal is, of course, the stuff of Fulham legend. Fulham won that match at Carlisle 2-1 and all but clinched promotion from Division Three in 1997. But who scored the early goal to give Carlisle the lead before Fulham netted twice in the second half? You can't really tell from this clip, but that's current Stoke midfielder Rory Delap (then just 20 years old) heading home for Carlisle.

    lol

Just my way of saying that I hope the rumors are true. Actually when I think about it, maybe I dont want the Beas at Fulham. I'm afraid he'd have trouble breaking into the the line-up.

What is up with Simon Davies anyway?

Never thought iraqgoals would be more reliable than Setanta. If you live long enough, you get to see a lot.

This Stoke team is ripe for the picking. 2 goals in six games, both in a 2-2 draw versus the might Wigan? (I ain't interested in their beating up a non league side in the FA Cup). 15 goals, fewest in the league, all year? I thought Beattie was a player, shows what I know, now he's just a shower fighter.

I want three -- 2-0 to the good guys.
