I'll take it that you can make a statement on here but not back it up with what you mean.

Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce is ready to bid again for Fulham midfield star Steed Malbranque. (The Times)

If we're going to keep misusing Steed on the right, then maybe it would be better to let him go . . . not that I want him to go mind you, but he really needs to be in central midfield.

If wehaving said that, steed was highly effective in the first half of the charlton match on monday....to the point that he would have been missed if he hadn't played...i'd say that steeeeeed is right up there with the most valuable players that we most definitly need to keep.

I may be wrong, but Steed has looked mostly uncomfortable on the right. He's a good player, no doubt, but we have to ask ourselves "where would he be most effective?" I still think that place is attacking center mid.

According to a couple Internet reports, Zat Knight is on the block with possible destinations being Aston Villa or Middlesbrough. CC apparently turned down a 4 million pound bid over the summer. I'd jump at 4 million for Zat. Sell him, I say.

Heck, at this point, I'd take a couple of old programs and a worn practice ball for Knight. OK, one program and a ball with a hole in it, but that's my final offer... :)

What do people see in Zat Knight? He's tall, but so is Randy Johnson (should he be on the US team?)!

Hey, maybe Rafa will want Zat. He could have a matched tall-guy set with Peter Crouch.

Cookie has revealed today on Skysports.com that he does have some cash to spend in January and that he has targeted a few players. His last sentence is key though:

"But as we've found out before, wanting and getting are two different things so we'll wait and see."

Oh man!! I don't know how I feel about Fulham signing Simon Elliot of Columbus Crew in January on a free transfer. He isn't Quality. Not like McBride Quality. Don't do it Cookie.

Eh... like I said on the other thread.. he'll be backup, at most. He's got excellent work ethic, at least.

And it's not certain, anyway... clubcall and 4square aint always 'on'!

eh... What do you think Eindhoven would want for DMB? My guess .. a LOT!

And EJ has faded to a wisp of his former self since the injury, could it have raised doubts in his psyche?
We dont need that for Fulham.

It's not even certain that he's going to Germany.
Cunningham would be cheaper and his head-games-problems are well known; Coleman could get good insight from former managers on how to deal with him.
OTOH JC is just another CJ but older.

The MLS turned down a 5 million dollar bid for Eddie Johnson some time ago from Benfica. I do not think we have 5 million to spend. I think Eddie Johnson will be a good player. This offseason will be important for him to regain full health.

    Dear Mr O'Leary
It would be so hard for Fulham to part with Zat but for 3M he's YOURS.

    Yes there is a God!
