    Prophetic.

Great comeback; I was about ready to give up at 2-0 and I should've known better! In the last three trips to Man City, Fulham have scored eight second half goals.

No idea how Zamora missed that great chance early in the second half, and Kamara had a couple in the first (one I remember where he probably was offside but it wasn't called) that he should've done much better with as well. Glad Duffer and Deuce bailed them out!

Mmmmmmmmmmm striker does that mean scores goals???

    Quote from the BBC:
Kamara dribbled in down the left and pulled back for Dempsey whose shot was deflected into the path of Zamora but with the goal at his mercy the striker inexplicably sidefooted the ball over the bar.

Shots off target 13 Vs 6
    Corners 14 Vs 2
    Fouls 11 Vs 12

    But the most Telling stat!

Man City Team Cost (All 18 players)

I'd love to see a stat on the number of blatant Zamora misses vs. the number of goals he's set up with his hold up play. Slightly subjective in terms of gauging what exactly consistutes a blatant miss, but it would be interesting to see a +\- on the number of points he's cost us/earned us.

I always chuckle when Fulham fans bring that up. Take a look at a salary comparison in the third tier and second tier when Fulham were charging up the league towards the Prem. The most popular chant around the league when Fulham were in town was "Rich man's plaything, your just a rich man's plaything."

I love Fulham, but trashing another club for doing exactly what your club did not all that long ago seems a little disingenuous.

Honestly, it is refreshing to see that this is still and hopefully always will be a team game. Any team can beat any other team on any given sat/sun if they work better as a unit. Though 31 mil is still a major number compared to CCC and lower.

To me this game is all about winning games and getting points, certain players have a roll to play in every game, your defenders defend and your strikers score goals, to me Zamoras not a proven goal scorer and I think he's record shows that, missing sitters like yesterday could at the end of the season cost dearly and I would hate that to happen. Zamora misses lots more chances than he makes or scores and that for me is why I dont like him as a striker. he not a scorer of goals and for me he has to go.

Totally agree with you Don Fulham brought their way into the premiership just like Chelsea did with the Premiership and Manchester city are trying to do.

I didn't see Zamora's miss, but having seen that I don't feel quite as good about a draw. However, I am glad to see that Roy is still proving that his penny pinching can still bring it to the teams throwing cash around. A particularly good match considering it was our 3rd game in 7 days, of which we won 1 and tied 2.

Zamora had good form, but is back to the problem of choking. Dempsey is looking good and once again demonstrated his ability to get his head on any ball. Also good to see the comraderie between Dempsey and EJ and I am sure this is a relief to Dempsey to get a goal in the EPL this season. Hopefully Dempsey's mentoring will help EJ develop better mentally and bring his game up to his potential.

    Hi timmy,

You know you can use the FFC badge on your site instead of the silouette of the player?

Thanks Lax and flamingcokecans for the highlights. I'd wager that EJ told Clint that he was going to score before the game or at the half and Deuce was acknowledging it.

Upon further review of the past week; A total annihilation of Hull, a special European night and dramatic (albeit heart wrenching) draw with Roma, and a gutsy never-say-die point at Citeh. That my friends was a full and gratifying week. Bring on the Scousers!!

Interesting that Mr. Cokecan's excerpt contained the Zamora miss, but not the Kamara one -- rather the Kamara gentle pass to Given when he was clear through.

After watching two or three angles on Citeh's first goal, I'm starting to get a little worried about Schwarzers hesitation and mid-stream mind-changing on corners and free kicks. He was so stalwart last season and has looked very shakey on more than one similar occasion this season. Now that Hangeland's gotten over his serial brain-farts, I'm hoping that Tha Big Aussie isn't going to start giving us shakes.

I agree with Don and Martin. Seeing as we're in the same league trying to compete, I don't take much solace in doing it on the cheap. I understand that to a large extent, that's just the reality of Fulham's budget. But at the same time, it's like we play for consolation prizes each year and I don't know that it's something to brag about per se.

As for the match, good result. Especially considering the barrage we weathered in the first half and since we fell behind 0-2. I'm surprised by those possession numbers though. Seemed like they had a lot more of the ball than that. It was good to see Clint get on the board, not that his confidence needs it. Shame Bob missed b/c his confidence could use the help. Duff is really slotting in nicely, makes you wonder what we'll do when Davies returns. Watching Greening, I really hope Danny gets back quick. The back 4 are still shaky this season and will hopefully gel soon, but Kelly had one of his better games on the left side. Mark was very good as usual.

The biggest surprise was probably in Roy's choice of subs. Seol? The chatroom erupted in a chorus of "he's still here?". And taking off Joe given his Citeh-killer reputation. We have to be in their heads at this point, b/c they are absolutely snakebit when they play Fulham. And that's awesome.

This is not because I am more against Zamora than Kamara, I am against under-performance across the board, but I only saw Zamora in the highlights and didn't hear or see Kamara's.

I felt the exact same way as I watched ManC's first goal. It really looked like Schwarzer should have either gone through the pack to punch/grab that ball or gotten back on his line right away, this could be bad as I am not ready to through the weight of the team on either of our other options.
