No go for me either-sorry. My wife's charity is participating in a walk to raise money, so I'll be on the National Mall at 8:00 tomorrow morining. I'm going to TiVo the game and watch it, as NBC used to say about their Olympic coverage, "plausibly live".

I seriously enjoy the early game times, because no one else in the house is up at that hour. Don, I will be up, on the chatroom, and listening to GJ on the one day pass.

See you at the The Computer Cottage!

Tom, I cannot wait, after you and your wife get your house, until you get a wirless PC. Life changing? Probabaly not. One of life's currently most enjoyable little luxuries? Oh Yes!

Definitely! A lazy-boy and a laptop... if I was younger, I'd have a mini-fridge and NEVER get up.

I cannot stand the keyboards and lack of a mouse on laptops. I have a wireless laptop, actually it is my wife's, but I rarely, if ever use it.

Does the laptop have usb ports to plug in an available keyboard and mouse? Just plug those in and you should be good to go.

It has the USB ports and I can plug in my keyboard and such I guess, but I just prefer not to. When I am watching a match on TV, I like to be able to concentrate on the game and such. I guess I could suck it up, but I will be so tired tomorrow morning that I would be worthless in the chatroom anyways.

I'm the same way when the game is on TV, I prefer to watch with no distractions. Just throwing the idea out there in case you wanted to be a part of the chat room. I'm still debating as to whether I'll be in there, it will be early in the morning.

for me, the chatroom while watching on TV is the next best thing to being in the park. I can remember the group moaning when we gave away "the penalty" at the Villa. It was like being surrounded by a bunch of mates at a match [minus the beer breath, pushing and shoving, and numbness in the feet].

This is my way of saying that we'll miss DCH if she's not there.

See you in the mawnin' PCB!

4:30 AM is a bit early for me here on the west coast. I’ve been known to have a beer or 100 on Friday nights so that makes it even harder. In the past I’ve just stayed up and watched the match live then go to sleep. I’m pumped for this match so I may do that.

Well, Katy and I are getting up at 5:00am to make the coach from Motspur Park and travel up to Manchester. Are we dedicated or what?!

I am looking forward to the match itself but I am a bit skeptical because its one of those games where you don't know whats going to happen. I think its time again for McBride to get a goal...oh, and Heidar as well.

Mike, did the picture of Petty and me cause the loonies to hack us? Did you have to sacrifice your avatar to save the site?

By the way, I know many of us have said this before, but you traveling supporters are the best. You have no idea how fired up we get watching an away match on TV and hearing the vastly outnumbered Fulham contingent outshouting and outsinging the home crew.

You and Katy have a grand time, and come home with three points!

Not a good game ladies and gentlemen. We were rubbish in the first half and while the team showed some heart and determination in the second half, it was going to be tough to dig themselves out of a three goal hole. I just assume forget about this one and move on to face Reading next Saturday at the Cottage.

    Chatroom recap:

    DC Heather changing clothes.
Miami Carlos cheering in two languages.
Optimizer stressing in several computer languages.
PCB working out the physics of the cat-tree separation continuum.
Pettyfog having entirely too much fun and throwing spears from the sideline.
    Vonbilly free associating.
TexasWayne waking up and realizing where he was.
The rest of us going, "John! Offsides! Again!"
The lads? Sigh .. that's another story.

It's only three points, he said. Sorry to Katy and Mike and the traveling crew. Let's get 'em next Saturday.

Afraid it's my fault, as I said in comments to Tom's preview:

Heh... dirtyboy, I noted that by the time you sleepily signed on, you were struck speechless as well..

I did recall that statement Petty, but chose to ignore the ominousness at the time.

Good news on the cat-tree separation continuum. Cat 1 - 0 Tree.

The little guy actually jumped, sort of (to the next further down dead branch). Only caught a side of the outstretched blanket though. This cat, at least, lands on his feet. Crisis averted. He will sleeping the rest of the day, as he was up int the tree all night in about 40 degree, windy weather.

As for our beloved Fulham, at least I had the damn cat to somewhat take my mind off of it at the time. Even GJ did not sound into the match. 4 losses this season. Seems like we learn something and comeback from each one. Let's certainly hope so with this one. Goodbye city of Manchester. Don't want to see or hear about you again for another year.

Bring on Reading!! And a plan to win, Cookie.
