    WOW, FULHAM!!!
    One thing good about the West Coast, the match was on in primetime. And was able to get the wife to watch too (not a morning person).

    A few observations:
    - The lads toyed with Basel for much of the match (except when they went into a defensive shell), could have been 5 or 6...
    - Nice to see the ref let them play during crunch time
    - Dempsey, FAR POST...
    - Riise, where did you go the second half?
    - Greening, say no to set pieces...
    - Frei, stop whining...

    It was pretty tough in the beginning, then i got busy actually working and it flew by. It was harder once I got home not looking to see who won and if I should watch.

    re-Riise, he's been the consummate 30 minute player. I think he gets his shot in the league when Davies is being eased back in. Let Simon have the first 45 and then bring in Riise for the second half. We ALWAYS suffer a lack of energy in the 2nd half, so he might help us break that. The problem with starting him? Well, if he can't play more than one good half in the Europa League, he won't be capable of more in the Prem.

    even though Gol tv didn't show the match till the night time many hours after the match when I knew the result, it was still very fun to watch that match.
