Actually, that was not good defensively. Can't give any further comment

Fingers crossed it's not a broken rib. Gutsy effort to get shot of 'feel good' at half and score what should have been the match winner late on. Is it too much to ask to go a week or two without suffering a major injury??? :angry-banghead:

Thanks for the View HD, couldn't of been easy with the amount of frustration at the end of the match

Allow me to join the chorus in congratulating Heather. Always great to have more American Fulham fans in the world, particularly a second generation.

I thought I was going to miss this one, but actually managed to catch GJ for the last 15 minutes of the match. I didn't go into the chatroom because I thought I'd be leaving momentarily, but ended up hearing it out until the bitter end, and kind of wish I hadn't. I think Don had it best when he titled his View from South Texas "One Best Appreciated by the Neutrals"- I would've loved to watch this match were I not a Fulham fan. Also, credit to Don for naming the Fulham Traveling Support as the MotM- even just seeing the highlights, I could hear them loud and clear. I'm sure the relatively short distance and the fact that Reading doesn't exactly draw as much home support as the London clubs helped, but either way- good job, Fulham fans.

On the plus side, the goals were all quality. Ruiz can be maddening because he gives us inconsistency and then moments of unmatched brilliance. I forget if it was in Don's view or earlier in this thread where someone noted that Ruiz's only goals last year were "Goal of the Season" contenders and this one was possibly our best thus far this year as well. Baird is suddenly a legitimate threat on set pieces which is awesome and Berba's goal was great as well. Obviously, very sloppy defending on set pieces and in the last few minutes of the match in general- which unfortunately, like failing to get points away seems to be a "Fulhamish" trait that has persisted through several years and managers.

The bigger concern is for Baird (any news on him?) and of course, Berba.

It makes me think of a line from Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels when an incredulous criminal shouts "I don't believe this, will everyone stop getting shot!" after two or three of his gang are hit by unseen air rifle shots. We need Berba more than ever with matches against Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea coming up. With that fixture list on tap it's a bigger concern we didn't get all three from Southampton and Reading, but such is life. Everton's been in great form, so I'm glad we have them at the Cottage- I'll be happy with a point.
