Fulham Away to Bristol City

3-5-2 was a masterstroke from Kit. A few games ago I was about to hop on the Kit out bandwagon, but I've certainly stepped away from that ledge now.

This was really the first bold tactical decision Kit has made. If you remember back to last season when Kit took over from Magath, he really kept the same shape with the diamond in midfield. Even this season, we haven't played with a lot of width with Cairney and Pringle only playing wide-ish.

The 3-5-2 really suits our personnel perfectly. We have 3 starting level CBs, two dynamic FB/Wing Backs, and a bunch of Center Mids. This formation gives us the width we need without sacrificing CMs or leaving us exposed to the counter (something that's killed us since Kit took over). I've always been a fan of the 4-4-2 and 4-3-3, but the most important thing is to play players where they can be successful, and Kit is doing that with the 3-5-2.
