I think Roy would of seen what we need in the transfer window.

Point #1- We need a damn forward who can not only finish, but also be somebody who can break through the defense with pace. I like Luke Moore. He has pace and can finish as proven by his 8 goasls last season even though he was also injured for some of the season.

Point #2- A damn midfielder that can break up an attack. I like Abou Diaby. I do not care how much he costs. He wants out and he is exactly the type of player we need. The next Vieira is right at Arsenal and is itching to leave now lets go and get him.

Point #3- A damn CB. No more of this BS of our defenders screwing up and mis hitting the ball and crap. A CB is of the utmost importance and if Demerit is somewhat cheap then lets get him. Strong player that does not make championship level mistakes.

Point #4- Finally onto the game. We need to start finishing what we start. If we continue to dominate teams and then give away leads then here we come Championship. This is a problem that needs to be dealt with now. The Scum game is huge in my book. If we cannot get a a win or at the very least a dominating point then we are gonna be in trouble. I wanna see what Dempsey can do on the wing not as a damn forward. If Bullard is ready throw him into the game. We need all the emotional lifts we can get. No more Kuqi and send him back to Palace. He is absolute crap and a player that makes our team horribly worse than we already are. Healy and Kamara should start up front with Dempsey and Davies on the wings providing the service. The next game is huge and something needs to be taken from the game.

Did anyone see why Bouazza got his first yellow card? I have no clue.

I do not know. Maybe he argued about something. Surely the only logical reason. Still if you know you have a card then why go into a tackle like that? In fact he did it another time and got away with it.

I was looking for 3 points today, but I'll take the one on the road. One day, someone up front is going to get hot and start finishing our opportunities (I hope).

Talk about a tale of two halves. I'm not sure what I'm more surprised about: 1. Holding on for the tie with 10 men while being on our heels the second half. 2. Or not being able to knick that late game winner.

after just going through the match for a second time, I actually think we looked better than we have for a while. FFC24 is dead right, though [and so is Ray Lewington]. We have good players, but they don't mix well to make a good team.

Several of us have commented on our need for a finisher and I think we should also get Luke Moore. Having said that, Healy could very well have been among the goals on two occasions, and his runs, Davies' runs and Bouazza's runs stripped BCFC's defense naked on several occasions.

I think we have 3 solid CBs and I'd never make another defender my top priority, although I agree that the Cheesehead is strong. I've seen nothing to indicate that Aidy wants to let him go. Stefo played well and Boca played well. Unfortunately, they're both left-sided CBs. As a matter of fact, the defender who had the worst match today was Konchesky. Hands down.

    Here's where I agree 100% with FFC24:

    1. Kuqi -- bye bye
    2. Diaby -- in the immortal words of Mars Blackman: please baby please baby baby baby please.
    3. Dempsey -- how about, for the next three matches we play him wide. We can't use Bouazza during that period, so let's let the Deuce play behind the striking two. If we don't get another striker before the Hammer can come back, then run Healy/Kamara full time.

One more note: Yes, he lost possession. Yes, he was "unlucky" in a way that cost us points for the third time this season. But, I firmly believe we have a young defender who will play for England some day in Eliot Omozusi. I hope Psycho gets him an U-21 cap soon.

Does anyone have any observations/comments about how Birmingham was able to change the momentum in the second half. Did anyone notice any adjustments they made?

I thought we looked good at times, but there was almost too much passing. Those close passes that keep possession but never result in anything dangerous. In the second half we were making those passes on our defensive end in front of our own box, seems crazy to me. I'm not advocating the long ball but more direct attacking. I sound a little like LS.

The real opportunity we missed was Davies (I think) all by himself in front of the goal. He rushed it. A few more dribbles and he would've had an easy shot.

Agree with Hatter about Omozusi. It's just a shame he wasnt cutting his teeth a little bit earlier in the season. He might not be blowing points right now.

Nafti made all the difference, mo. He completely changed the way Birmingham played and was easily their man of the match. Everything flowed through him and he hardly put a foot wrong.

We still should have won. Davies just needed a tad more lift and he'd have done over Maik Taylor in injury time.

I thought they played like they were desperate for a win, and I was glad to see it.

Getting a point on the road is big for this club right now so I was disappointed because I felt they could have won it, but happy with the effort and the point. Just not much there to work with, and with going down to 10... They were just holding on.

Anyone else think that Birmingham's GK looks like a fruitcake?

While I've defended him a bunch earlier this week, I won't here. It was absolutely a stupid challenge.

By the way, the one where Davies got booked was terrible also.

Kuqi has a good work rate but holy crap is he slow.

The "psyche" of this team is so fragile right now. The 1st half was a fairly dominating display of futbal, and the 2nd felt like I was hanging over the edge of a cliff waiting to drop(pun intended) at any moment. It was almost unbearable to watch. I hope our new manager can bring some RESOLVE, TENACITY, AND CONFIDENCE to FFC. That's what we need the most!

The only player who really disappointed me was Konchesky. Besides making some serious defensive gaffs (and unlike Omisuzi, he can't be forgiven due to inexperience), he was the only member of the back four who didn't even attempt to play with the new tactics of playing the ball through the midfield; every time Konch got the ball, he smacked it downfield, long-ball style.

For the first time, I saw why Stephen Davis was such a hot prospect - I think he'll do well with the short passing style once they get a bit of time to train together with the new system.

I agree, he had some good touches on the ball and got back well to defend.

Did anyone else catch what McSheffrey did? When the ref showed Konchesky yellow, he dropped the card while putting it back into his pocket. McSheffrey found the card while he was setting up to take the ensuing free kick, picked up, called the ref over to give it back, then pretended he was showing the ref the card when he came over to get it. Funny stuff.

That was funny and to the ref's credit he took it as the lark it was meant to be.

Just Like Don said Nafti made all the difference. He did exactly what a holding mid is supposed to do, he held the ball in the attacking third. Every time we tried to clear the ball out of the box he was there to hold it in. Healy and Dempsey have to do a better job of coming back and winning that ball. McBride always did!

We aren't quite Arsenal using this short passing game, are we? Still, had Nafti not done the job that he did holding the ball in our defensive third, we may not have had to do all that passing back there.

The kid has a bright future IMO. I love how he pushes forward and marks the oppositions left winger allowing very little time on the ball. Young Elliott for England one day. Who's with me?
