RE: Re: RE: Fulham-Arsenal in NYC? hey Don -- are there any places down here that open at 6AM to show the games? i don't have gigs this weekend, but i had one this past saturday at Rebar and next saturday the 18th at Jack's Patio Bar on Thousand Oaks. in fact, this gig is my "swan song" because i am leaving my band and taking some time off from the music biz for a while. my wife says i won't make it 6 weeks without finding a new band -- i told her that i can (and will - maybe) make it until the end of the year. we'll see - she is normally right - LOL!!!
Re: RE: Re: RE: Fulham-Arsenal in NYC? Livesoccertv.com doesn't list any coverage for Sunday's game but does list a rebroadcast of some other Fulham-Arsenal game (last season's win, maybe?) tonight at 2am ET.
i hope that Clint Dempsey will be at Nevada Smiths as well-he will make as much of a contribution to the game there than he will at the Emirates!
Hmmmm... davidlinde... a bit of pessimism in that post. I believe Deuce will contribute if not start for Fulham in the season opener. Keep the faith my good sir.
South Texas Hijack, part 2 Dude, you're a musician? This has got to be the planets aligning. I just got back from a gig [yeah, I know it's Tuesday] at Blue Cactus and we're playing Friday at Twin Sisters [on New Braunfels Ave.] and Saturday at Order Up at the Colonnade. If you're in the neighborhood, check us out. And click on my signature to check out our website. As far as venues for live soccer -- I know that you can fight for screens at the Lion & Rose on 410 and Blanco, but I don't know about early morning matches. Being the only Fulham fan in town kind of keeps me home on match days in the chatroom.
I think we have our first real wind up merchant. Welcome David, you and your rays of sunshine have arrived in a sad style.
well Don - lots of people don't consider drummers musicians - LOL!!! most of 2006 i didn't even have a "day job" - i just toured the state with a Texas Country/Americana band. Texas is a BIG place for band travel too. Houston on Friday and Lubbock on Saturday and back to SA on Sunday made for a long weekend - LOL. one of the reasons i'm leaving my current band is the 43-mile ONE WAY drive to practice twice a week. i don't mind travelling for gigs, since i've done so much of that, but the practice travel was a killer. my last band was usually done by 10PM if we opened and midnight if we headlined --- the current band (SA rock scene) doesn't even start until midnight if we are headlining. i don't like finishing at 1:45, packing up my drums and then driving home. 3:30 - 4:00AM is too late for me these days - LOL.
