If you thought the 'fixes' on CPU/Mem were lasting, and you're as disappointed as I am to find it sucking up more and more memory, and getting slow as hell.. then try this:

Firefox 3 High CPU Use? Try This Fix.

I am just now doing it.. I'll let you all know, you let me know.

Note: While following the directions, open a new tab and type 'about:config' in that url window.
then type 'cache' in the 'filter' box.
then he means click on value 'true' and it should go to 'false'

Hmm, I'll give this a try. Firefox has always been horrible for me in terms of cpu/memory usage, but I still use it because all other browsers have at least one major issue that annoys me even more.

So far I've had less instance of 'slow/no response'. I think it's worth a try, but complicating this is fact some sites I visit actually suck up as much as 100 Megabytes of memory.

The site owners probably dont realize it because they would use the latest and greatest hardware.

I'll give this a try; FF tends to bog down my work PC.
