I don't think it's over the top at all Mike,I'm writing this on Sunday and it's still asore subject-I booked a days holiday-which has now been wasted, traveled into london, and back again for what?? a bag of chips and a few pints! What is even worse is the bad feeling this has caused-I listened to a football phone in on the radio and it's all the same"what do you expect from a small club" "Fulham should forfit the game" and so on and so on.
People I was talking to-Fulham fans from Milton Keynes, Kent, and Weymouth-all have traveled and spent money they are not going to see again, and thats not what upsets people,it's the fact that the game was called of at 13:15 when 90% of the fans had etheir set off or where already in the pubs around the ground!
At least Portsmouth put warnings out that there game COULD be called off!!!!!!!!
Welcome to amateur hour at the cottage, where we can't organise a piss up at a brewery!!!

At the end of the day, we were all very dissapointed that the match was called off. I was also walking down the Stevenage road when I found out, making an hour and a half trip but I made the most of my day.

Portsmouth had no chance of playing the game...we did and the chance we taken by the appropriate people but the weather got colder and at the last minute it was deemed unplayable by the ref.

I'm sorry you feel that way but do understand how you feel.

I once made a trip to Sunderland only to have the game called off 20minutes in and we were 1-0 up. Oh, and I flew over from America to see it...

With all due respect Mike, just b/c you've suffered more as a result of something like this doesn't make it any more acceptable. As a result of those tv contracts, teams in the EPL take in a lot of revenue and there's no excuse for any side in the League to have this issue in this day and age. And that's goes for Pompey as well.

Sounds like one of the sticking points I've read a lot in Fulham circles the past few days is that there has been no apology issued from the club, fwiw.

There's a profesionalism issue here,it make us(as a club) look like we don't know what we are doing and that is unapceptible!!!
It's not the groundsmans fault, you can only do what you can do,but if you call a match off you don't do it when everybody is there,or on the way there! it's unprofessional in the extreme and one of the faceless suits should loose there job over this-but we all know this will ever happen!
I love this club and it winds me right up when it's made to look this bad over something that should never happend!

Also if I was a little over the top and had a go at Mike,I'm sorry fella, your a good guy and I don't want you thinking I was having ago at you,I just get a bit passionate and it gets the better of me somtimes! lol

My point wasn't self pity, simply to point out that these things happen.

I appreciate your post OldBugger...we all get passionate about this club and that is the way it should be.

Fulham needs to get under-soil heating. Not having it is ridiculous.

What is the rescheduled date? Hopefully this extra rest has given Bullard's "dead leg" and "jock itch" the opportunity to fully heal.
