we are being linked to Elm, no not Rasmus, another Elm. This one a striker.

They say they are not looking to sell Novak, but their further comment seems to imply that it wouldnt be difficult to get a deal done before the window shuts. If this guy is decent I would love to see some more striking help.

These forwards don't seem to be any better than what we have already. I'd be disappointed if we simply signed these players and called it a day.

For what it's worth, the Elm we're being linked with is Rasmus's brother David, a 26-year-old 6'3" striker who was Rasmus's teammate at Kalmar until Rasmus, 21, signed with AZ Alkmaar a few days ago. David is the oldest of the three Elm brothers (Viktor, 23, plays for Heerenveen) and the only one not to have been capped for Sweden.

I realize i'm coming in on this post about 6 months and 43 pages late but can anyone give me a quick 1, 2, 3 or options we are considering as far as strikers go as well as any recent additions. I understand my man Eddie Johnson is trying to make his way back into favor.

    Sorry for the absence

At this stage, we look more likely to sign someone from Stryker than any footballing strikers.

    Or someone from Stryper. :D

Michael Turner (the former Hull center back with whom Fulham was previously linked, not the Atlanta Falcons running back) has signed with Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.

For what it's worth: Early reports from Sky on deadline day are that we are still interested in David Elm and Pawel Brozek, that Andranik might want out because he's never playing, and that Bolton are interested in Kamara.

Just saw this on BBC's "transfer deadline day ticker:"

I would LOVE Vela in the Black and White.

And we already have signed Elm for 500K. We got the oldest Elm brother, the one not good enough to play in Holland.

Wow, Vela is a very good prospect. No complaints here, except for having to root for a member of the Mexican national team.

I don't see anything official anywhere saying that the Elm signing is done.

In former FFC player news, Dejan Stefanovic and Norwich have terminated their contract by mutual consent, and Hameur Bouazza has signed on with CCC side Blackpool FC.

As it stands right now, we have spent less than any other club in this transfer market. Going into today we were ahead of Pompey and Bolton by less than 1M pounds.

Would love to see Vela or any striking option come in but sounds like one of those deals that Fulham never pull off.

I don't know if this is official but this is what I found on Elm. Boy would I like to see Vela on our squad, so long as his club form doesn't carry over to his country.

"Fulham have signed Kalmar FF striker David Elm for £500,000 and remain
on the trail of Wisla Krakow forward Pawel Brozek, valued at £2m by the Polish champions."

You know what? If nothing happens soon, I will reconsider my support for Fulham. I don't know how many transer windows I've sat through where we were in the bottom 5 in spending. I don't know how many times I watch like 10 teams imrpove their teams on deadline day and we do fuck all. I don't know how times I've watched us sign some fucker from some shitty league and watch him to turn out to be complete rubbish.

Simply put, I'm tired of it. I can't handle watching a team who doesn't seem interested in spending money to improve. After a team like SToke greatly improved their team you'd think we might have the slightest interest in improving as well. WHy is it that STOKE FUCKING CITY can spend and we can't?

Basically it boils down to this. IF MO CAN'T SPEND THEN PLEASE SELL THE CLUB TO SOMEBODY WHO CAN.

The window closed at 5:00 pm BST or 12:00 noon EST. So it is closed but reports still trickle in as things are confirmed and finalized after that deadline.

I read on ESPNsoccernet's ticker that we definately signed Elm for 500k.

To varying degrees, I believe many supporters feel 24's frustration. After all, I thought Fulham's foray into Europe would at least produce a recognized/proven name or two.

And we have no idea whether Roy simply didn't want the assorted transfer targets, or whether MAF didn't pony up the cash...regardless, a few more unlucky injuries and it could be a long autumn season for the Whites without additional premiership-quality cover.

I can't deny that with the venture into Europa, I had hoped for a big name/proven quality type of signing and am a bit disappointed with the lack of transfer window action.

It's worrisome, especially since we've already witnessed how recent injuries have exposed the team's lack of depth...

Well, that was disappointing. Hopefully Dikgacoi and Elm surprise favorably.
