Fair point, Martin, but Wenger hasn't proven himself to be a lying, low-life thug like some other North London managers.

Taking Roy's statement that he wants to sign a forward at face value... Kanu? Utaka?

I think Senderos would work out well. We shouldn't be jaded by his experience at Arsenal. He's very good on the ball, still young, only played football at the highest level, and he's got a good head on his shoulders. Very much has the character to play at Fulham under Hodgson.

Ex-Fulham winger Hameur Bouazza has quit Turkish club Sivasspor after after only five days. Sheffield United, Plymouth and Preston are keen on him. (Various)

and Arsenal evidently wanted 6m quid for Senderos, so that's that.

Apparently we are going to sign Marc Janko on a season long loan deal with a view to a permanent signing. He has a goal record of 62 goals in a total of 96 games for every club and country he has played for. I find it extremely weird that he's only played 96 games in 7 professional years. I also would like to point out that this was in Austria and that league is extremely weak. Also interesting to note that it's a loan deal. YOu would think that if he was as good as his goal scoring record, he'd be signed on a permanent deal right away.

    Dikgacoi on completing Fulham signing.

"I have been given a wonderful chance to be part of a fantastic team playing in one of the best leagues in the world, this is something very special to me and an opportunity that I am going to grab with both hands."

Good to see someone who is legitimately excited about what he is doing, not the money he's being paid. Go to hell Citeh.

I'm going to call him "Chicago" because it's got all the same sounds as his name, just in a different order.

Josh that's a lot nicer than he's been called on other Fulham sites.

Stoke have picked up both Tuncay (formerly linked with Fulham) and Huth from relegated Middlesbrough. Pretty good additions, both. Their side is starting to look halfway decent.

We really need to improve the squad with 2 or 3 more quality players. It's bad enough that City and Spurs have a better squad, but now teams like Stoke are improving their teams as well with quality players.

I read somewhere the Janko deal isn't happening, but we're in for the Slovak Andrew Johnson, Jan Novak.

With Huntelaar and Sneider in Italy and Robben in Germany, can we convince Van De Vaart that England needs a Dutch Madrid cast away too and Fulham is the perfect club?

(File under Boston Cottage pipe dream posts)

Our old pal Michael Brown has joined the relegation express in Portsmouth. There's a good joke in here somewhere that I can't quite piece together.
