If that were to happen do you think he would play much?

I'm not sure. If we don't get Crouch or another more experienced striker, I think it would be a possibility. He's still young but does need playing time instead of sitting on the bench at Villareal. So, I guess depending on what other strikers we sign, it could be a good or a not so good fit for him.

Lets hope this Riise doesnt back out like he's brother did a few years back?

Crouch has rejected Sunderland saying he wants to stay in the South, read into that what you like?

I would still love to see Crouch end up at the Cottage. However, now that Spurs are in the mix, I could easily see him end up playing for Harry.

Per the club website, Riise was in talks yesterday and if a deal was eventually going to be made, it wouldn't be finalized until tonight (i.e. announced until tomorrow) at the earliest.

Crouch winding up at Spurs wouldn't be such a bad outcome for us; they, like al-Citeh, might wind up with a surplus of quality strikers and one of them could wind up hitting the market. (Or maybe both are planning to bring back the 2-3-5; that'd be fun to watch.)

According to the soccernet story, Crouchy wants 70k a week on top of his nachos.

So no way is he coming here.

I could see him ending up at Spurs, but I don't know why they would sign him. Then again, their transfers never make sense.

So off the top o' me noggin', Spurs would then have Bent, Pavluchenko, Keane, Defoe and Crouch (and probably some other yahoos too)? And given that Man City has signed everybody else not named Kaka or Ronaldo...

I'm with jmh, FFC may be in a good position to poach a quality striker from these gourmands of goalscorers.

In addition to those listed above Spurs also have Giovani Dos Santos and some guy with no picture on their website with the last name of Rose. Unless we can afford Bent I doubt Harry will be parting ways with anyone we want.

What's your take Jensers? Is Crouch better off at Fulham or Spurs?

As an unbiased bystander, I dont understand why Crouch would want to go anywhere but Fulham.

Fuck him and Redknappy dugout if he doesn't end up at Fulham.

I agree, Fulham is the best choice for Crouch if he wants to play in the World Cup next year. He'll play and probably get to play some in Europe (hopefully). If he goes to Tottenham, who don't have European football, who knows how much he'll play.

Agree with those above, Fulham's his best bet. As for wages, I read somewhere that the club could set up some kind of loyalty clause which would net him the same amount of cash in the end but make his weekly wages a bit more in line with the rest of the squad. I can't say I understand exactly how that would work though.

Michael Turner says "Hangeland insurance" to me. No reason for him to leave Hull to sign somewhere he won't play.
