Yeah, I'm not sure. He got called in to the Italian national team this past week as well, I think.

Brede Hangeland likes Fulham so much he will stay there. But he'll play for Arsenal next season.

Roy Hodgson will console himself by salvaging Sebastien Bassong from Newcastle and picking up Aiden McGeady from Celtic.

Probably Barry Glenndinning (sp?) who's the funny man in the Guardian football pages... or some intern working for them, I guess.

... also Fulham will battle it out with Celtic for Coventry midfielder Aron Gunnarsson.

Assuming we don't lose Hangeland, I'd like to see the primary focus on a new left back and a new target man to pair with AJ.

A left-footed midfielder would be nice too, bad for Dempsey probably, but it's needed. Fulham could use some help everywhere. Especially if they get in to Europe based on fair play. Cover, besides Baird, in the Centreback department. Another LB to challenge Konchesky. A LM. More depth in the midfield. Another Centrehalf to challenge Zamora.

I agree with most about our needs:

    1. a new left back
    2. a new [or another] target man
    3. a young player to mould into Murphy's replacement -- I know one who plays for Borussia Moenchengladbach I'd like us to sign
    4. someone to play on the left of midfield who has a left foot
    5. stronger 2nd-level defenders than what we have now
    6. Eddie Johnson back from Cardiff

I suspect that 3/4 of the signings Roy makes will be people we've never heard of that we'll love before mid-September [i.e. Hangeland, Paintsil, Etuhu].

    Very, very true.

Plus, I don't see Demps playing LM next year anyway.

Don't know what your deal is, M-i-N, but I've been very pleased with him since Bullard left. He's allowed Murphy to be more creative and has been solid in his positioning. He's tough in the tackle and defends well in the penalty area when we're under attack. He's not going to provide the killer long through ball, I'll grant you, but I'd much rather have Etuhu-Murphy than Bullard-Murphy.

The ONLY person I want to see disappear from the first team squad this summer is Dacourt. As I said when we signed him, he is too slow to play in the Prem. I think Roy was doing one of his Italian managerial friends a favor by taking him. He's this season's Litmanen, only Litmanen stayed in the reserve 11 and never brought his slow butt into the first team.

Dacourt is only with Fulham on loan and it seems safe to assume he'll be on his way in the summer.

Centre Forward of course. Dickson Etuhu has done well actually. There's probably better, but he does the job.

I obviously watch a different game, for me Etuhu doesnt tackle very well, stands around and gives the ball away, what more can I say?

Not sure I agree with the Centre Forward statement either but I know what your saying?
