I don't watch much MLS but if I had to support one team it would have to be the red bulls simply because of proximity.

Dynamo - love Ching and DeRo. I lived in Houston for a while and still have family there. Also, no MLS in Cleveland.

I'm torn between DC United (proximity) and NY Red Bulls (Angel and Altidore). Of course, my only jersey is a Beckham Galaxy jersey, so I'm not sure what that says...

heh.... go onto one of those teams' MB and they'll tell you what it says.

Suggestion: Don't wear that jersey to a game, if LA isnt on the pitch.

Not that there's anything WRONG with supporting Beckham coming to MLS, even by buying his jersey, but let's get real...

Galaxy fan over here. My local team, although they share the stadium with Chivas USA. I was pricing out season tix, and Chivas is about 1/3 the price. I wonder why?
I appreciate the way Chivas USA plays, but I cannot relate to the fans. I have always been a fan of Razov, and I like Klejstan, Bornstein, Marsch and Galindo.

I have been a DC United supporter since the first season. Just because they are the local team and have been able to watch them on ESPN as well as the local Comcast Sportsnet. For a good while that was close to the only soccer I could watch. I didn't have FSC back then. Also nice to go to a game every now and then. DC United is supported well and I also have a good time at the games.

I am going to try to make a long-distance go of the Seattle team. I do have some ties there, I was stationed at Ft Lewis WA for 4 years, about 45 miles away, and I thououghly enjoyed spending time there. Second, another Cleveland boy, Drew Carey, is part owner, so I'm all over that. Third, how they are running their board, like the directors from a big European club like Real Madrid, with a fan representative on the board. And, thanks to Drew, a marching band. What a silly, great idea. Unless Cleveland gets a team, that will be the horse I hitch my wagon to

DC, because this team got me into football at a higher level. In fact, it made me appreciate the international game even more. The team has an amazing fan base (Barra Brava, Screaming Eagles) and has had some interesting story lines (Adu). I also like that DC scouts/signs some of their foreign players from South America (Emilio, Gomez, Fred)...

Fire....Fire....Fire, Fire, Fire...ah aaah...ah, ah, ah, ah...ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah...FIRE!

What do you expect? I'm from the area...and have supported them ever since they first entered the league in 1998 when they won the double.

And they may have had the greatest MLS side ever assembled in 2000 although they didn't take the MLS Cup: Bocanegra, Beasely, Armas, Razov, Thornton, Wolff, Kovalenko, Nowak, Stoichkov...and we picked up Wynalda for a year in 2001.

Also most successful team in the Open Cup with four titles...in 1998, 2000, 2003, and 2006. Great stadium and of course fans as well.

    Bearzfan,
I remember that team. It was great. I went to the 2000 semis of the Open Cup game Fire vs Galaxy, and it was one of the most entertaining games I have ever been to in my life. There were close to 3 full side fights, 14 yellows and a red (Boca). Tempers were flaring everywhere. Stoichkov was classic. He was yelling at Kovalenko like a red headed step child. The Fire won in OT 2-1 (Razov and Wolfe - OT) and (Jones). What a game.

When Seattle gets their team in 09 thats who im gonna support. I live within the region and the front office looks to be great and i hope that translates to the players they sign.
