I always suspect anything to do with West Ham. I'm also sick to death of the ubiquity of Spurs and [didn't survive the 3rd round] Newcastle. If they're going to carry someone out of the top 5, how 'bout us?

I must say that the Derby v. Notts Forest is one for the old time fan -- The Brian Clough Trophy meets the FA Cup. Good stuff. I hope somebody carries that one over here.

AG, I agree. Last year I really had no I idea what it was all about and why I should even pay attention. This year it is different. Good thoughts.

Every cup draw gives me a conspiracy feeling. Come on, Forest w/ Billy Davies v Derby w/ Nigel Clough, right after both managers get hired? Talk about a match perfectly made for TV...that's just a little too convenient.

(still excited about Forest - Derby)

    Hatter -

Obviously history plays a part, but I think Fulham are starting to gain ground as the 'Cinderella' club. You are hearing more and more about them and they are getting their props...

Problem is - due to a history of being fulhamish, pundits seems to hedge their comments with an underlying attitude that the wheels are going to fall off at some point.

    1-4 final. Crap.

Who here fancies his chances in the air after a corner kick against The Undead's "defense?"

Stoke aren't bad on set pieces (which in their case, includes throw-ins) and have to like their chances against the scum this w/e.

Southend put up a good spirited fight for about 40 minutes, but when they chose to lay back and absorb after the first goal, it just felt like a matter of time.

yeah, Chelsea were stunned when they were scored on, and every attack they made for the next 10 minutes showed their frustration and confusion. I have to think that if Southend had gotten a bit luckier on that shot on 35 minutes or so, it'd been a different story.

This has been a very good FA Cup and we've not even played a 4th round match. Hartlepool, Histon, Southend, Forest Green, and Kettering are all what this competition is about.

Been "matchtracking" the Brian Clough Cup -- FA Cup round 4 between Derby County and Notts Forest. It ended 1-1, and how's this for "close?"

Should have had a full house for this one, as there will be for the replay. I do so love the FA Cup.

Chris Coleman's Coventry picked up a draw at Blackburn and earned themselves a home replay. Actually, of the five matches played today, the Scum beating Watford was the only one that DIDN'T result in a replay. Wet Spam will have to go to Boro and Sheffield United to Hull.

I was more referring to the cake walk they have/are going have to Wembley, especially if we don't beat Swansea City.

I was hoping for a Chelsea/United draw so both of them could actually play some hard teams.
