The third round draw for the FA Cup was held Monday and Fulham were drawn away to fellow Championship side Bristol City. The final schedule is still to be set but the match will take place sometime between Jan 7-10. We'll see how the team holds up through the heavy holiday schedule, but Fulham should be able to see their way past this round.

Some interesting early numbers this morning. Third tier Plymouth and sixth tier Kidderminster are in extra time with scum and wet spam, respectively. The Harriers are hosting the Hammers at Aggborough, capacity 6,444. It’s 122 years old. Regardless of the results, you gotta give the little guys props for bringing it big today. Somewhat keeps the FA Cup relevant these days, I suppose. Here’s hoping one, if not both, advance.

National League (6th tier) squad Boreham Wood shocked Bournemouth in the FA Cup with a 0-1 victory on the road. Fulham's on-loan goalkeeper, Taye Ashby-Hammond, played a huge part by making some key saves in the second half as the exhausted Boreham Wood defense hung on to their lead. Ashby-Hammond had very little to do in the first half as the Cherries put on a Parker-esque performance with 80% possession and only one shot (not even close to on target) that didn't come until the final minutes of the first 45. Boreham Wood now face Everton in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, but have yet to give up a single goal in the competition.

Their 5th round match at Everton should provide enough operating cash to keep BW financially fit for the rest of this season and all of the next.

This result is what the FA Cup is all about. Wish I could have watched some.
