    Best defender? Not tonight he wasnt!

    I am thinking broken bone or dislocated kneecap. 8-12 weeks. I bet. He wont play in that time for his club anyway.

    Guess it was a tendon issue... ACL could be a go by then - if that is what it is.
    The way he laid there it seemed like a broken bone. When I did my knee I was up and limping off the field almost right away and I had bad bone bruising and the meniscus was messed as well.

    Have to wait and hear for sure what is going on.

    Nope - torn patella... Kneecap dislocated. 3-4 months. He will be back and fine.

    Perhaps, but when he comes back he'll no longer be AC Milan's 4th choice CB. He'll be about 7th or 8th. If Gooch features in our South Africa squad at all then he'll do it with no competitive football experience at all. As slow and plodding as he looked last night, he'll look four times that.

    Mo is right, we lost our best striker and best defender -- and we lost the latter when he signed for AC Mafia. All I can see down under for us is 3 and out.
