I voted for Liverpool because I have always liked their side, I am a major fan of Stephen Gerrard, and I want AC Crimewave to lose to everybody INCLUDING Chelscum.

I got to go with the team that actually deserves to be there, or rather the team that doesn't deserve to not have been it at all.

I'd love for Liverpool to stop the parolees from Milan.

I think this match will be a real doozy, replete with tough football, class football and plenty o' panache...aka the Istanbul (not Constantinople) factor.

I am going with Liverpool as like Don said, AC Milan should NOT have even been in the competition.

But in all honesty, I am not all the interested in the match. I am ready for the new season to begin already.........well not quite ready, we need a number of new players at Fulham to be excited about things, but I have some faith we will get those new players by August 11th.

For all the reasons previously stated, I WANT Liverpool to win. However, I voted for the "parolees," as nevzter puts it, because I think they are the stronger side, unfortunately.

I think Kaka and Milan will be too much for Liverpool. I see it 2-1 for the Italians.

While I would much rather see Liverpool win it, I think it will be AC Milan in the end.

But as a nuetral between the two teams, I'd rather just see a good game with more excitement than the FA Cup final provided.

While it's pleasing to the ego to be such an influence as to inspire digs LONG after their 'sell-by', it's also annoying to have all that creativity wasted on someone who's nobody and always will be.

Better you should go out and find SOMEONE FAMOUS you might get suspended and fined.

    {insert rim-shot here}

    RE: Re: European Competition

Okay, instead of opening a new thread, this one should do fine.

As in many a Championship game or match, all the pre-game write-ups and focus go to the big names, in this instance KaKa and Gerrard mostly. But any sports fan knows, more often than not one of the lesser-knowns steps up and changes the course of sports history.

Therefore, big name or no-name, who is your pick to provide the most important deciding moments in this afternoon's Champions League competition?

I was wavering on which team to support, but that tips the scale!

BTW, I know the BBC World Service has the game, but is it blacked out on the Internet? I'm hoping to listen to at least a few bits and pieces this afternoon as I do some programming.

Jamie Carragher. He's been brilliant all year long, and I think he'll do the biz today.

I'm thinking either Riise for Liverpool or Maldini in his grand finale?

Anyone up for chatting in the Chat Room for this one?

I'm thinking about radio, since I'm at work.

BTW, the Mike and Mike show on ESPN this morning had Wynalda on to discuss the match. Nothing particulary interesting about the match, but before he came on, there were talking about retaliation, and Wynalda told the story about how some guy (no name given) kept grabbing Wynalda's jersey, so he got ahold of the guy fingers and broke them. (Wynalda made it sound very easy.)

I'd watch out for Wynalda, especially if he gets a few drinks in him.
