Here it is, the second-most exciting international competition in the world. It all kicks off June 5th, so until then what are people thoughts?

Also, looks like soccersh*t (as football365 calls 'em) confused the swiss and austrian flags: http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/des ... _TOP_3.jpg

As much as I would like Poland to do well at the Euros, simply getting out of the group stage would be a success in my eyes. We will see how they do. They have not faired well in a major competition in a long time.

    Spain will win it.

Note-I say this EVERY tournament. They have way too much talent to blow it etc etc. They have to win a damn tournament sometime?

Following the heritage theme I'll be pulling for the Czechs, but they were too old 2 years ago in the WC so the expectations are low. Will go w/a Germany-Portugal finale (hard not to pick the Germans in a final).

No Rosicky, no Nedved (even though he said he would come back). Koeller is still in the line-up, as well as Baros, Jankulovski, Ujfalusi, and Cech.

They will be bleeding some newer talent, but a solid core still remains. Not the most assuring run up to qualifying, but WE ARE CZECH, and WE ARE TO BE DISRESPECTED AT OTHERS PERIL!!!

The interesting thing is that the Greeks were saying the same thing in the Spring of 2004. Fear the smaller guys!

That said, I stand by my choice of the Germans as champions.

Darn right, go ROMANIA! On one hand, it's painful to be in the Group of Death, but we beat Holland out in the qualifying, and if Romania gets out of that group, they will earn some respect in the football world.

(Notice the dancing banana is the same color as Romania's kit!)

    The Final, Poland and Romania!

Thank you, Don and Tim. Tim's make-up people are second to none!

That was fun, and it is much different having the shoe on the other foot. Rule #1: Think quickly, and try not to say anything too dumb. (two rules??)
