    Which, although true, has nothing to do with a discussion of the relative salaries/valuations of English vs. non-English footballers in England.

    Well if you want to be factual, this thread has nothing to do with Salaries/Valuations of any Nationality so what's YOUR Two penny's worth?

    Look, I'm not trying to pick a fight. You seem to feel passionately about this, which is fine.

    All I'm saying is that the point that was made (which I don't even agree with, btw) is that the homegrown rule -- which IS the topic of this thread -- would lead to increased disparity in the valuation of English vs. non-English players. Therefore that discussion is relevant to the subject. I'm not sure that an argument about English salaries vs. American salaries is.
