Talk to Martin-in-Nashville. I don't think he'd object too much. I think we did a separate thread on that in the summer, by the way.

Now to go remind myself at just how much I suck at predicting things ... isn't that right, President McCain?

Oh dear! Seems I made the same goof about Pompey and Newcastle. Here it is again:

How about Chelsea's cupsetter agaist United's cupsetter in the final?

Hmm - not awful. I did pick Liverpool to be out front but be overrun my Man U. I missed the boat big time on Portsmouth too - this prediction was before they sold Muntari. I still think that Stoke and Sunderland will be relegated.

OK You lucky people I would like to bring this to the fore front again and allow you see what your predictions were then and are doing now.

Just a couple of weeks to go before it's all over, any suggestions anyone has for next year will duly be taken in to consideration, adding more just makes it more complicated but lets see what's on the agenda.

Good luck everyone I havent had a chance to look at everyones predictions so have no idea who in the lead.

It looks like my nos. 1 - 4 will pan out, however it goes downhill fast from there for me....jeez, Portsmouth at #5? The paint thinner was strong that day, my friends, very strong.

    I'm not a winner either.

Did I really think Spurs had a chance to break through? I shouldn't be allowed to play this game.

    Fulham 14th? :3d crying:

And whoever hacked into my account and picked Pompey 6th, thanks for nothing!

I now have a real reason to root for Hull to be relegated. I mean how do you not get even one of the relegation teams correct?

:3d crying: Don't feel to alone on that Pompey pick Steve.

The Villa blurb looks fairly prophetic but the Modric comment maybe not so much.

Right on about the Pompey, Steve and Barry. I picked them up there as well, and why not? They'd had a decent finish, won the FA Cup, were in Europe, and had an England International strike pair.

As for my Newcastle pick, I guess I just didn't expect the gross suckage to last as long as it did. As for West Ham NOT being relegated, all hail to Gianfranco Zola for taking a club that's swirling down the drain, losing players left and right, and taking what's left and making them Europa League contenders.

As for the current bottom three, imagine what the table would have looked like if we'd had been as successful v. Blackburn and Hull as we were v. Arsenal and Man United!

Why? You won. Revel in it, hats in air and all that! And congrats to the others who either know their shit or got lucky. Or both.

At least you had a clue.. which is why I didnt play {unless I did later on whim in a moment of idiocy}. Because I SUCK at it, and I always picked Fulham to finish 7th or something like that.

At least we have the satisfaction of wishes granted and Newcs going down while we're in 7th, right Don?.

Whazzat? .. Oh yeah, never mind.

Martin-in, thanks for the herculean effort in maintiaining this insanity. And thanks for NOT printing who was tied for dead last.

Congrats on keeping the trophy. In the immortal words of the Brooklyn Dodgers [look it up] "wait 'til next year!"

Congrats Martin. Man, the bottom 1/2 really is a crapshoot. I got 11 of 14 pts from the top 1/2. Just 3 pts from the bottom, all from picking Hull 17th.

It's funny how nobody really did get points from the bottom half of the table, the majority of nominations was for Hull and Stoke to be down there with Stoke as the Bottom Team, another point is Nobdoy got any point/s for Fulham's position of 7th perhaps next year were all make another guess at something that's really unpredictable for us all.
