    5) Spurs (if anyone will break through , it's them.
    6) Pompey
    7) Aston Villa

    8) Everton
    9) W Ham
    10) Sunderland
    11) Wigan
    12) Newcastle

    1) Man U (Berbatov signing imminent - best player in EPL)
    2) Chelsea (Deco will fit in very well)
    3) Liverpool (might be in front for a big chunk of season)
    4) Portsmouth (very very talented - will mop up lower teams)

    5) Arsenal (wait till next year)
    6) Tottenham Hotspur (fun to watch as always, but lost top talent)

    7) Everton (steady eddies)
    8) Aston Villa (will flirt with Eurpoe)
    9) West Ham (ditto)
    10) Newcastle (mediocrity.com)
    11) Blackburn (enough quality players to hold mid-table)
    12) West Brom (Cinderella)
    13) Fulham (COYW - A. Johnson leads team in goals, highlights)
    14) Man City (underachievers)
    15) Wigan (scrappy play will earn them enough points)
    16) Middlesborough (bor-ing)
    17) Bolton (barely avoids the drop for one more year)
    18) Sunderland (will implode due to lack of scoring)
    19) Hull City (their fans will be great)
    20) Stoke City (Derby 2.0)

    FA Cup: Chelsea over Spurs

I factored in potential transfers when putting together this table. For instance, it doesn't sound like Santa Cruz will stay at Blackburn, so they fell down the table. I think 11 is a very optimistic view for Fulham, but fans are supposed to be optimistic. To me, the table breaks down into these different tiers. 1-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-16, 17-20. However, I must admit I probably don't know enough about the teams to make that call. I haven't followed the PL long enough to know as much as most people on here probably do.
I really like Man City this year, especially if they get another striker. I think if Richards and Dunne stay healthy, then Man City could challenge for the 5th spot, or even 4th if one of the Big 4 struggles.

    Thanks, Martin. This is fun.

You'll need to revisit over the Christmas/New Years schedule to see how we're doing!

Let's see... I had Spurs 5th and Pompey 6th. Beautiful!!

And Newcastle 12th. Please, God, let them finish in the relegation places and take their God-awful, tired, mind numbing soap opera to the CCC. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch (with all due respect to those who say the same thing about W Ham).

Couldn't agree more regarding Newcastle, Steve.

The funny thing for me is all of the pundits saying certain races are done with a little over a 1/4 of the matches remaining. Arsenal were out of the Champions League, then in one week's time, they're closer to 4th than 6th and Villa look to be reeling. As we showed last year, there's a lot to play out. The only things looking like sure bets are United in 1st and WBA in 20th and even those could change if a few results go the wrong way.

I'd like to see guesses for CCC promotion to the Prem included in this next year as well. That could be too much of a crapshoot though.
