    Despite Palmer being out, the Bengals had a real shot at winning. Kitna was still skying the ball but was more accurate than he'd been earlier.

    What changed, in my view, was the attitude of the team when they learned at half-time how serious Palmer's injuries were. And the stats in second half show it... glaringly.

    In hindsight, it probably would have been better if it were possible to have Palmer back out on the bench in full pads with the trainer continually fussing over him... as if he MIGHT have a chance to come back in, if needed.

    Knowing that the star QB/motivator wouldnt be playing anymore even if the Bengals won, cant help your emotional state.

    No reflection on Kitna, same as no-one's blaming Kimo for the hit.

    That's just the way it is
