You thought the way ANALysis is spelled was just a coincidence?

I voted for "like it," but like many it has taken myself a little time to get used to the "airness cat" on the chest....while I think this years puma kit are indeed the best, and i'm bitter that I just have gotten myself fit enough by dropping some 30 pounds over the past 3 months to fit into my puma top...however i'm w/ jux hoping for a relaxed fit, as most fans out there are not at the fitness level of a premiership player.....overall not a bad kit, so the away top will just be opposite colours black and white? Well regardless of the kit, here is hoping the puma kits will have better luck today than the barber-shop pole sunderland boys....

I am in the "more I look at it, more I like it" camp. Looks much better on Bouba than Boa and his pot belly.

That said, the dabs.com jerseys are still the best, with the one black sleeve giving it a unique look. I have the black away version also and just gave away my red Pipex.

I'd like to see more black incorporated into the team and with it a bit tougher attitude.

Fair play to the club......I got this response to my email about the kit. I am quite impressed:

    Dear Glen,

Thank you for your email regarding the new home shirt.

I am sorry that you are disappointed with the new kit design having seen the images on fulhamfc.com.

We have been working closely with Airness with the aim of producing a kit that delivers quality, high performance and style to meet the requirements of our players and supporters. We had previously received feedback from supporters stating that the home shirt should be true to the Club colours of black and white (without any red) and this has been taken on board. We believe, the new kit is a modern dynamic piece of technical sportswear that can be worn by supporters in accordance with the fit that they choose.

At this stage we have only been able to show images of the long sleeved version of the shirt. Traditionally the short sleeved version is more popular with fans and accounts for 95% of replica shirt sales. We will be posting further images of the new shirts, including the short sleeved version on fulhamfc.com in the next few weeks. We also hope to shortly unveil the kit in the Club Shop for fans to see in person, feel the fabric etc. The shirt that Luis Boa Morte is wearing is a neat fit; however the Club will be offering a wide range of sizes, allowing fans to purchase either a fitted shirt or to opt for a looser fit if desired. The kit cycle for the new home and away shirts will be one year.

Airness are the leading sportswear manufacturer in France and their kit reflects the latest technology and developments in kit design. I am sure you can appreciate that anything to do with design is a very subjective thing and even if supporters had an opportunity to give their input into the design, with differing opinions, there would still be some fans who would feel that it does not reflect what they want.

The three year kit deal is the biggest in the Club's history and will provide the best possible product to our First Team squad and signifies further improvements to the merchandise that we can offer our supporters. Whilst I am sorry that you are disappointed by the new home shirt, we hope that once you can see the shirt for yourself you may change your opinion.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Regards,

    Rachel Pallant

That is definitely a good response. I think it would have been wise of the club to mention some of these things when it came out. Especially the part about the kit coming in different styles.

    Thanks for posting this Glen!

I need to go to the offal and check out the kit pics, but the first thing that springs to my double-X chromosome mind is: Very fit men in very fitted jerseys is never a bad thing!

Of course, I also get the "metrosexual" angle, but that might also be a product of being a Californian.

I really wonder what the effect will be on players like CB, who tends, within moments of the match starting, to look like a 12 year old playing dress-up in his older brother's jersey (whole thing untucked, hanging over his hands, etc). Is the more fitted style going to be bothersome? Ultimately, I'm all about what the guys are comfortable playing in, fit-wise.

Well Joe, this shouldn't be a problem for you anymore, considering you are more metrosexual now than you ever have been! The wonders of an influential girlfriend! :)

That should keep some of the whiners at bay!! I will go for the fitted shirt and Glen, will be going for the looser one. Unless of course he goes for the 'only gay in the village' look.

    I'm hardly a metrosexual.

My girlfriend has influenced me yes... I now spend my free time devising ways to mask my normal filth/laziness/comfort level without various forms of aerosol based products. I also remember more often to use soap, and not just the invisible lather you get from rubbing shower water against my wet skin. I try to recycle towels, tshirts, and socks without washing them and with out her noticing.

To my credit I havent "gayed up" my wardrobe, or managed to style my hair anymore often then previously.

I WILL however buy the kit, not just because I'm FULHAM TIL I DIE, but also because, at least in 2006/2007 I can feel that my devotion in representation of the team i love simultaneously might dress my body so well in such a form fitting fashion that many other footie fans will be staring me down, not because they have the urge to punch me or jeer at me, but because they will be momentarily fantasizing how firm my buttocks are.

Here's my 2 cents about the kit, at least the form fitted one...

It takes a huge, imposing figure and turns him into a waif. Saw a picture of the new shirt on Big Bouba...the "Wardrobe" looks more like Kate Moss.

    Eat a pukka pie, Papa!!

I spent years shopping for stuff in Britain that didn't fit despite the fact that the sizes worked. For instance: Right inseam size, right waist size, inability to get the trou above my thighs. So, here's a question: I want to buy a McBride jersey for me and a Bocanegra for the missus -- she thinks Carlos is hot. Are the sizes of the kit available on the FFC site good for US folks? I do an XL and she's a M. I'd hate to purchase and then have to return.

    Appreciate the advice.
