    when it comes to ' Cheese eating surrender monkeys' the French get a bad rap. I dont like the French, as a state, they have caused tons of trouble over the last century... but NOBODY surrenders cultural principles like Italians.

    Iran Mullahs come to Rome, so they cover up nude statuary, and take wine off the table, which the French will never do,... plenty of figurative Teabagging from those Eye-Tyes, eh?

    Now before the objections from the usual warm and fuzzy multiculturalists... yes I HAVE known Muslim refugees through working with them. Three guys from Iran, one Somali, who I peer counseled at work. The Somali WANTED to be Western, but he just could not shake the 'Old Ways' and dealt with it via kif and booze. sometimes together which is definitely a problem.

    The Persians didnt give a shit.

    I share your outrage ... well, except for the times we've dined at home with a musician who is a recovering alcoholic, and we put our extensive booze collection out of sight in an effort to show ... you know ... respect.

    I have to chuckle. Despite the carnage. Because of the location it happened, I immediately jumped to the conclusion it was another Somali gone berserk. But I stifled myself.

    And YES, Don. I DO know whereof I speak because I once mentored a Somali refugee from that very community and he told me of his personal demons which might have resulted in the same thing, when he was down enough to use kif and drink at the same time.
    He was basically a real nice guy, sober. But he had a hard time dealing with the cultural shift. Especially women.

    Why believe the Iranian guy? Because the GOP has form.

    1. Held the hostages until after the 1980 election
    2. Pandering to Iran's militants -- while being paid by Israel -- to try and stop the recent treaty

    1. was an absolute winner for GOP -- made Carter look terrible and Reagan wonderful. A great present for the GOP

    2. This and the current situation had the same GOP motive -- make the Democrat in the White House look bad.

    As far as the machete article -- I did enjoy your totally unbiased "fair and balanced" source
