European Socialists eager to work with U.S. Democrats

I think that pretty much says it all...

It doesn't appear that socialist PM of Brittain, Mr Tony Blair was there? 'Lefty Blair' seems to have spent the day with 'Righty' George W. Is this a snub to Democrats?

ummmj I hesitated to reply and had to think about it.

I'd say it was more likely that Blair had more important things to do than sit around and rail about things they had no intention of doing anything about. He's probably not welcome because, unlike the rest, he actually TRIES to do something to make the world better.

On second thought, why wasnt Chirac there... forget labels, he fits.

Yes. Blair did a masterful job of turning off BuSh's microphone and trying to save the U.S. some face at the G-8,9,10 Conference.

Cheerio, pip, pip, and all that.

He was trying to make BuSh look better, which would make the U.S. look better. And as the U.S. is part of our world, thus making the world better.

Simple connecting of the dots. He did good!

and Chirac is not a "European Socialist." He's a screaming Right Wing Loonie. That may be a reason why "he wasn't there."

But I had a point, which was he talks but doesnt actually DO anything, and it doesnt matter WHAT party he is, then, does it?!!!

I'm sure he's still trying to figure out how to cash in those oil vouchers, get paid for the weapons, and figure out how to get Total-Fina-Elf in on the Iraq oil contracts, though.
