You might reconsider splitting threads. On the last two you split, the deals died. Surely just a coincidence, but...

We'll see what happens, but this transfer window is starting to resemble the old Fulham we know and love. Exciting rumors, no payoff. Berbatov signing excepted, that is.

Also, waiting to hear something official on Dejagah. Fingers crossed we can add some more players.

Especially somebody who can possess and pass the ball from the center of midfield.....Dembele (and Murphy) will be missed otherwise.

Some rumors about Harry Kane and Tom Huddleston heading over...but just twitter gossip atm. Take it for what it's worth.

They talked about it on Sky as well. Saying it's possible since Dempsey's leaving was left so late. Kane as possible compensation or Huddlestone on loan are possibilities. Sky showed Kane arriving at the ground (WHL) though.

I'd take both of them over our present situation. Huddlestone, if healthy, is a good defender and passer and would be a nice compliment to Diarra in central mid. Palacios fell off the map after leaving Wigan but could give us some squad depth.

    Need to wrap up Dejagah.

Also, not an in, but did anyone see Halliche is out (loan?).

We probably should have done this show in the chat room...in hindsight.

Looks like Dejagah will be confirmed shortly and Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe deal is off. Hoping to hear soon.

Apparently Dejagah is the last player we get. How we missed out on all of the players we tried to get is beyond my comprehension. Alistair Macintosh is not Mitch Kupchak. We are really screwed and have taken a couple of steps back.

Huddlestone off too. Too late I guess.

Yup. We got a big hole in the middle. We are good at striker, have lots of promising wide players, but nobody that can control the game in the middle (sorry Steve Sidwell).
Meanwhile, QPR managed to sign 12 players - ugh.

Re: Fulham's Chris David bid accepted by Twente

Apparently we didn't sign this player either! Unbelievable.

We have two players that are natural CM. You're right, nobody can control the game. I don't know what was going on in the offices of our club, but they have really dropped the ball on this one. If this was an American sport, the radio shows would be flooded with calls to fire the GM.

A few weeks ago I thought wewould be a total wreck come September. I'm not happy with the moves overall, but at least we did bring in a few quality guys. It's just a shame to lose your two best players within days of each others.

    Huddlestone isn't super-mobile, but his passing - paired with a true ball-winner - would've been huge. Ugh.

Mitch Kupchak isn't exactly the GM of the Sacramento Kings either though, is he?

That's not to say I haven't had my doubts about Mackintosh over the years since we've failed to fully address our striker situation (and other thin areas) the last few years. But it's hardly an apples to apples comparison.

Fulham aren't the Kings. A good GM can do the business everywhere. Jerry West has turned the Warriors into a relevant team, for example. Macintosh has completely failed in this window and past windows.

Heck - I even like (sorta) what Wet Spam did by bringing in Jarvis, Carroll, and Benayoun.
    It'll be ugly, but effective.
Ought to be enough to keep 'em up when combined with Nolan/Noble/et al.
