SI.comand 'La Nacion' in Argentina say the Schelotto deal is done and GBS is booked through to Columbus.

    Announcement is expected today.

A 2 million dollar deal for one year as he wants to make his last year full of all the playing time he can get. This is not the usual case of 'retiring to MLS', not even in the eyes of most other clubs' MLS fans.

From all accounts he's the anti-Matteus and what we Crew fans want from him is his passion and for him to show our youngsters how it's done.

It's confirmed... sorta. Crew announced, GBS hasnt.
Here's the kicker, though... he was signed for TWO years, and NOT under the DP!

Which means the Crew have found a way to pay him the league maximum and other incentives to make up the million a year wage speculated. But they retain the DP slot and there are rumors that GBS' buddy, Palermo, will also be coming in... or the old 'McBride - wishing and hoping' remains.

    sigh!
